It’s no secret that more than 160 golf courses, including famed courses at The Breakers and PGA tournament courses at PGA National Resort & Spa, make The Palm Beaches a golfer’s paradise year-round. From novice to professional, ocean-view to tree-lined, the variety of courses offers something for everyone looking to tee off.

While The Palm Beaches celebrate their rich golf history and boast the title of Florida’s Golf Capital® 365 days a year, there’s one day every year that the perfectly manicured greens, challenging water obstacles and driving ranges of the courses take a backseat: Mini Golf Day. Each year, September 21 marks Mini Golf Day across the country, and here in The Palm Beaches we have some of the coolest, most fun mini golf experiences in Florida.

The Cox Science Center and Aquarium has debuted a brand-new 18-hole mini golf course, called Conservation Course. The course, designed by Jim Fazio and Gary Nicklaus, is located in the Science Center’s beautiful backyard. In concert with the Science Center’s mission to “open every mind to science,” the Conservation Course educates guests about natural Florida habitats, specifically the Everglades, since each hole is named for animals or plants indigenous to South Florida. Players of all ages can enjoy the course and its babbling brooks, butterfly gardens and lush green landscaping.  

Not just for the kids anymore, mini golf is fun for fans of any age in The Palm Beaches. At Adventure Mini Golf in Lake Worth, two different 18-hole courses feature cascading waterfalls, rapids, fountains and interactive waterholes, plus a snack bar and game room.

Located in Jupiter, on A1A just one block from the beach, Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf is a tropical fishing village-themed, 36-hole miniature golf course that explores both the wildlife and history of the fishing community. In addition to exciting and challenging holes, the family-friendly attraction offers delicious treats at The Burger Shack and 3 Scoops, two on-property food and beverage options for golfers.

Other places to celebrate the holiday include Putt’n Around in Delray Beach, with two courses: The Ocean and The Everglades. On The Ocean Course, you’ll find fish, seashells and mermaids, while The Everglades Course focuses on the local ecosystem with birds, alligators and manatees.  

In Boca Raton, the miniature golf course at Boomers is just one of the attractions designed to keep the whole family entertained. While you’re there, try the bumper boats, laser tag, or go-karts.
