Soak up the Sun and Sights with Guided Tours in The Palm Beaches

Let locals be your guide when visiting our piece of South Florida. Try one of these tours by land, water, or air.

Vacation is your time to unwind and enjoy new experiences, so we’ve made it easy for you to find and book a tour that fits your interests. Guided tours are great ways to see a place while knowing everything has been planned for you.

Here, options include climbing aboard a helicopter, stepping aboard a vessel or pedaling around charming towns and city neighborhoods – all with a guide who will show you the way. Here’s a list of just some of the guided tours that you can take while you’re visiting The Palm Beaches.

Tours by Foot

Some say a walking tour is the best way to learn about a town. The Palm Beaches are no exception, with various historical and architectural tours available. Most of the tours require reservations, so call ahead to save your spot.

Downtown West Palm Beach History Strolls – West Palm Beach (Seasonal) The Historical Society of Palm Beach County hosts a stroll through Downtown West Palm Beach from January to April. The one-hour guided tour showcases the evolution of the area’s buildings and landmarks, and includes an overview of the changes currently taking place in the city.

This two-hour trolley/walking tour focuses on the five historic districts in Delray Beach, sharing the culture and history of this charming beach town. Riders will tour the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, Old School Square, Cornell Art Museum, and selected historic and garden sites. While the trolley is air-conditioned, considerable walking is involved, so comfortable shoes and clothes are recommended.

Wicked Delray Ghost Tours – Delray Beach

Delray Beach is known to be a fun community, but it also has a quirky side. At least that’s what you’ll hear when you take part in the Wicked Delray Ghost Tour. The hour-long tour is full of ghost stories of people who still wander homes and hotels in town. Tour leader Marilyn Egan meets groups dressed in black, glowing lantern in hand.

Worth Avenue Historical Tour – Palm Beach (Seasonal) Lasting about 1 hour 15 minutes, the tour covers much of the history of Worth Avenue. Worth Avenue is one of the most notable addresses in the world, with its shops and businesses catering to the most exclusive of clients. The area’s architectural influence, along with its impact on fashion and society, make it a captivating tour. The walk is seasonal, running December through April.   Interested in the intimacy of a walk but something a little easier on your feet? How about a Segway tour or a horse-and-carriage ride?

Horse and Carriage Rides – West Palm Beach Riding along to the clip-clop of hooves will instantly put you in a relaxed frame of mind. Put away your cell phone and enjoy the sights as your carriage winds through downtown or along the Intracoastal Waterway. The carriages can hold up to six passengers, but a romantic ride for two makes for a really special evening.
