With warmer temperatures and sunshine, The Palm Beaches welcome more than just blooming flowers this Spring with unique festivals to keep you, your family or visitors entertained this March through June.   Wide-ranging in offerings, these events and celebrations focus on a vast variety of experiences — from arts and sports to food and music.   Take a peek at some of the Spring season’s event highlights below:     CityPlace’s Spring Family Fun Fest: April 9, 2017 Enjoy children’s activities, vendors and music at CityPlace’s free, family-friendly street festival.   LEGO Takeover at The Gardens Mall: April 28 – May 15, 2017 Showcasing nearly 50 life-sized models constructed entirely from LEGO bricks, this exhibit debuts for the first time in Florida. Children and adults will be able to view and build their own creations. This interactive exhibit will also encourage guests to make their own race car out of LEGO bricks, then watch it compete against other creations on the LEGO Race Ramps, as well as enter for a chance to create works of art to go on display in the LEGO Art Gallery.   Chinese Lantern Festival: Ongoing to April 9, 2017 Wednesdays through Sundays from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Sunset Cove Amphitheater, visitors can witness the wonder of illumination as they view illuminating animal-shaped lanterns at this inaugural festival. This year’s theme, “The Wild,” takes visitors around the world as they venture through continent-themed areas: America, Oceania, Asia, Antarctica, and Africa. Each area will display animals native to that region. Folk arts area and a martial arts show will also be available. Admission fees begin at $22 for adults and $12.50 for children.   Spring Training Baseball – Miami Marlins/St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals & Houston Astros: Ongoing to March 28, 2017 As the home of Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter and the new Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, the destination now offers Spring Training to four MLB teams – Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals, and Houston Astros.   Palm Beach International Boat Show: March 23-26, 2017 Recognized as one of the top 5 boat shows in the world, this year marks the 32nd year of this boat show. It features more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts, boats, and marine accessories. Seminars, boating equipment and, and live music are also among the boat show offerings.     PrideFest of Lake Worth and The Palm Beaches: March 25-27, 2017From humble beginnings, this is now one of the largest festivals in South Florida, attracting more than 20,000 attendees annually. As Palm Beach County’s largest LGBT event, PrideFest features a parade, live performances and entertainment for all ages.   Savor The Avenue: March 27, 2017 Experience this epic al fresco dining experience, as you dine at one of the nation’s longest dining tables, which stretches five blocks long. More than 1,100 people will dine alongside one another during this communal experience, which highlights 15-18 restaurants.   Palm Beach International Film Festival: March 29 – April 2, 2017 The Palm Beach International Film Festival has showcased thousands of award-winning films, hosted filmmakers, actors, industry professionals and press from around the globe. This week-long event features a variety of American and International independent films. Among this year’s films are “A Bronx Girl,” “A Million Happy Nos,” “After Circus,” “Dean,” “Cost of Construction,” and several others. Tickets to movie showings begin at $12.   Hatsume Fair: April 1-2, 2017 Featuring three stages with martial arts demos, costume contests, and taiko drumming, this spring festival celebrates Japanese culture at the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens. Authentic street food, artisan booths, and samurai sword fighting performances are also among the festivities. Adult admission starts at $12, and children admission starts at $6.   Brew At The Zoo: April 1, 2017 Enjoy animal encounters, food trucks, live music and a VIP lounge with delicious food and a wide selection of Florida craft brews at this annual event.   Boca Bacchanal: April 24-25, 2017 Sip, savor, and bid at Boca Bacchanal, a one-of-a-kind weekend of delectable dinners featuring renowned South Florida chefs and unique vintage wines presented in unparalleled settings. Boca Bacchanal showcases a menu of special events filled with gastronomical pleasures and wonderful wines for an unforgettable dining experience.    Gay Polo Week: April 6-9, 2017 Hosted by the Gay Polo League, this annual Tournament and celebration takes place in Wellington for four days full of activities. The event gathers a community that shares a love for adventure, fun, and the beautiful, challenging sport of polo – representing a wide range of ages, backgrounds and skill levels.   Delray Affair: April 7-9, 2017 Stretching 12 city blocks, this event has been dubbed the “Greatest Show under the Sun.” It is the largest arts and crafts festival in the Southeastern United States, with approximately 250,000 people in attendance during the three-day street festival.   Barret-Jackson Auto Auction: April 6-8, 2017 The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction draws more than 50,000 attendees to the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. The Auction features rare, high-end, collector, vintage, exotic, customs, classic and hot-rod vehicles – all for sale.    SunFest: End of April through early May 3-7, 2017 SunFest is Florida’s largest music, art, and waterfront festival, held in Downtown West Palm Beach. Welcoming to its stages a wide range of music legends to up‐and‐comers, the festival also hosts a Juried Fine Art and Craft Show. More than 150 artists and 50 bands will attend the five-day event. This year’s headliners include Dirty Heads, Snoop Dog, Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis, Stick Figure, # Doors Down and Flo Rida, to name a few.
