Let’s get to know our local expert
How long have you been attending spring training games at Rodger Dean Stadium?
I have been a season ticket holder for both clubs since the stadium opened in 1998.
What makes spring training here such a unique experience?
It is a great venue. There are no bad seats and you are so close to the field. The Palm Beaches are perfect for spring training as the weather is great and the area has so many things to offer.
What events or games are you most looking forward to this season?
Watching the Marlins and Cardinals play the Nationals, Tigers, and the Braves. St. Patrick’s Day is special every year too, and with Abacoa next door you can make a day of it. I am also looking forward to seeing the new shade structures that have been added this year.
Where is the best place in the house to watch the games?
I prefer to be behind Homeplate, but there is not a bad seat in the house.
For first-time goer, any suggestions or tips?
Wear a hat and bring sun screen, especially if you are from out of town. Arrive early, see the whole stadium, the team store, and enjoy a Dean Dog!
For any fans coming in from out-of-town to see their team, what can they look forward to experiencing in Jupiter?
Beautiful Beaches, fun restaurants on the water, the historic lighthouse, first-class golf courses, fishing, boating, and some of the best shopping around.
