Social Media Manager

The Manager, Social Media is a technically savvy content marketer with big ideas responsible for ongoing management and growth of Discover The Palm Beaches’ (DTPB) social media presence.

As part of the Marketing department, this individual will collaborate with key team members to execute strategies that drive conversation and engagement on our social channels, including the company’s blog, and help convert its online community into active fans, ambassadors and visitors of The Palm Beaches. This individual is someone that knows the ins and outs of every social platform including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Snapchat, to build and execute a social strategy appropriate for Discover The Palm Beaches.

The Manager, Social Media will focus on developing and executing an ongoing calendar of proactive content that mixes core brand messaging, marketing campaigns, partner and company news, and topical conversation points, as its full-time online community manager for Discover The Palm Beaches’ social channels. The role ensures Social Media engagement objectives are met on an ongoing, real-time basis and data is translated into actionable insights, excellent judgment on how to engage with followers, and a great feel for The Palm Beaches’ brand voice. Account Executive, Convention Sales

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the efforts of Discover's Directors of Sales in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest/West territories in marketing, promoting, and selling The Palm Beaches as a convention and meeting destination for the group market. As a team, you and the Directors are responsible for achieving an annual definite room night booking goal in compliance with the organization's annual sales and marketing plan. The Sales Director for the Mid-Atlantic market is located in a remote office in the Washington DC area and the Midwest/West DOS is located in a remote office in Chicago. This position has a heavy focus on Association/Corporate Convention Center business opportunities.

The Account Executive, Convention Sales will focus on managing the account database for both markets, delivering a high level of customer service to clients and assisting where needed for in­ market events. Account Executive, Group Sales

This junior-level sales position is primarily responsible for supporting the efforts of Discover’s Sales Directors in the Northeast territory and Affinity market in marketing, promoting, and selling The Palm Beaches as a meeting destination for the Association, Corporate, and Affinity group market. Discover’s Sales Director in the Northeast is based remotely out of Rhode Island, while the Affinity market Director is local.

The Account Executive, Group Sales will help manage the account database for both markets, while delivering a high level of customer service to clients and assisting where needed for in-market events. Other activities will include account research, prospecting and new business development. This position effectively communicates with colleagues and all organization partners.
