Explore the North Region of the Palm Beaches

North Region

Water, Wildlife and World-Class Leisure

If you just can’t stay away from the water, there’s no better place to start your adventure than northern Palm Beach County. Bordered by two ocean inlets and lined with pristine tropical beaches, this aquatic playground combines fast-paced fun on the water with refined relaxation – plus some of the most legendary golf courses in the game.

For those flying into Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), a 25-minute drive on I-95 will get you just about anywhere in the North Region. In Jupiter, you’ll have your pick of beachfront stays and water sports, from swimming, surfing and stand-up paddleboarding at Jupiter Beach to Loxahatchee River kayak excursions at Riverbend Park. Climb the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse to get endless views of our breathtaking coast. At the end of the day, watch the boats pass by with a refreshing cocktail (tiny umbrella optional) and fine meal at 1000 North or Guanabanas.

Just a few miles south, Juno Beach is home to more great beaches and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, where you can visit rehabilitating sea turtles. At the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, walk in the footsteps of golf royalty on five championship courses or indulge in an equally legendary spa day (and don’t leave the area without a little retail therapy).

Riviera Beach is a mecca for every kind of water recreation. Explore the Underwater Snorkel Trail at Phil Foster Park and spot everything from stingrays to a sunken Rolls-Royce. History buffs can board a water taxi to Peanut Island, home to JFK’s Cold War bunker. Or settle into a beach cabana on Singer Island for sunny skies, salty breezes and some well-deserved R&R.
