Roger Dean Stadium Has a Terrific setting for Baseball and Events
Since the late 1990s, Roger Dean Stadium has showcased superstar players, craft beer festivals, minor league baseball, and even a few weddings. Easily found off Interstate 95 in Jupiter, the stadium’s home teams are the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins.
When it’s time to play ball, the lead off hitter must be those famous Dean Dogs - jumbo hot dog with peppers and onions. Even better it could the dream dish for Cardinals fans, the Chicago Cubs Hater Dog, featuring diced onions, tomatoes, neon relish, celery salt, sport peppers, and pickle spear. And what does any hot dog need? A locally brewed cold beer. Batting second are brews made right in Jupiter and sold at various concession stands. The third hitter is the sunny, grass berm seating in the outfield. And batting cleanup, Bullpen Club. This Club experience includes an all-you-can-eat menu and even vegetarian options. The rest of the lineup is filled with everything from fantastic sightlines to party suites to the famous team store.
It’s all about location. Due east from the stadium are many of the most beautiful beaches in the destination. And just north of Roger Dean, try out two magnificent eco treasures, Riverbend Park, launching off point for the Loxahatchee River. For the beer connoisseur, due try the Jupiter Craft Beer Festival in January.
After the Game
Next door to Roger Dean, with its main street charm is Downtown Abacoa. Find small shops and tasty restaurants, plus special events throughout the year. And since this is Jupiter, why not go with a waterside, tropic atmosphere? The locale to try is Harbourside Place. It features a fine collection of bistros and retail, including The Woods Jupiter, famously owned by Tiger Woods.
