Paddle with Pops

It's always a good idea to take dad out on the water. The Palm Beaches has 125 miles of tropical waterways, so treating him to a paddle board or a kayak is a sure-fire hit. There are many places to go kayaking or paddling, including the Jupiter Inlet, Lake Worth and sections of the Intracoastal Waterway. You can rent the needed gear at places like Jupiter Outdoor Center, Kayak Lake Worth, Blueline Surf and Paddle Co., Visit Palm Beach, South Florida Paddle and Flying Fish Watersports. Odds are that there’s an outfitter near you, him or your hotel, no matter where you’re staying in The Palm Beaches.
Go Back in Time

For those seeking the nostalgia of time passed, historic places and stories about pioneers and adventurers may piqued dad’s interest. If that’s the case with your Pops, consider embarking on a historic tour of great landmarks in The Palm Beaches. Don’t miss places like The Jupiter Lighthouse & Museum, Flagler Museum, Spady Cultural Museum, and The Boca Express Train Station. Interested in even more historical places? For the family man, a day at the park with family is a laid-back, low key way to show Dad how much you care.  Explore by foot or listen to the sound of the waves and take in the aroma of a sizzling grill – either is sure to make wonderful memories. A huge selection of 85 parks are just a drive away, including the popular Okeeheelee Park, Carlin Park  and Riverbend Park to beautifully secluded gems of Ocean Ridge Hammock Park,  Oceanfront Beach Park and Lake Ida West Park. Take your pick from this list.
Deep Sea Fishing

Watch Dad’s face light up when he hears that you’re taking him deep-sea fishing. For the fisherman, the Gulf Stream is closest to land just off The Palm Beaches coastline, and that means clear turquoise waters teeming with hungry sports fish. You can set up a private outing with an experienced charter or you can join a larger group aboard a deep sea fishing boat like those on the Blue Heron Fleet. A large selection of charter or rental boats are available.
Sample Some Suds

With a growing list of more than 15 local craft beer breweries, The Palm Beaches offers a variety of brewery experiences to show dad a good time. since the industry first started years ago. Climb aboard the Damn Good Beer Bus and be driven to several breweries, or check out a few of your soon-to-be favorite breweries by glancing of the growing  list of beer makers in the area.
