6 Ways to Winter in The Palm Beaches

Trade your snow boots for sandals and spend your winter in The Palm Beaches.

Blue skies, 47 miles of pristine beaches and family-friendly experiences await you this winter in The Palm Beaches. Here are six ways to escape the chill and beat the winter blues:

#1: Socialize at Sunday Polo Brunch

Join the social set for mimosas and Sunday brunch while watching an action-packed polo match at the International Polo Club in Palm Beach every Sunday from January through April. Mingle with celebrities and spectators alike while enjoying a delicious array of treats. Don’t forget your hat!

#2: Dine at Swank Table

Looking for a memorable weekend dinner or Sunday brunch? Farmers, ranchers, artisanal producers, microbrewers, distillers, organic winemakers and chefs from around the state come together at Swank Farm to create multi-course al-fresco dinners served family style. Beautiful table settings and décor, live entertainment from local bands and craft beverages all add to an unforgettable dining experience. Eat, imbibe, roam the farm’s open fields and experience all that Loxahatchee Groves has to offer.

#3: Golf at PGA National Resort

Tee off at one of PGA National Resort’s championship golf courses. From The Champion to The Palmer, these five courses were built to challenge all skill levels amongst stunning nature views. Not on par with a game of golf? Relax and rejuvenate with a day at The Spa at PGA National and experience the Waters of the World healing mineral pools.

#4: Explore Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens

A quiet retreat from the bustling city, Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens gives you a powerful art experience at every turn. Walk the halls of the artist’s historic home, filled with more than 100 of her expressive pieces, or step into the studio where her inspired works came to life in bronze, stone and wood. Once outside, venture through the gardens and admire nine monumental sculptures that were created in situ throughout the collection of more than 250 rare palms and tropical plants.

#5: Dive at Blue Heron Bridge

Follow the underwater snorkel trail at the Blue Heron Bridge, just yards from Peanut Island—consistently ranked as one of the best snorkel spots in the U.S.. The blue waters of Lake Worth Lagoon will entice you to put on your snorkel gear and discover a world of brilliantly colored tropical sea creatures. Watch as a school of stingray swims past, or come face-to-face with an Atlantic longarm octopus (if you’re lucky). You never know what you might see until you dive in.

#6: Adventure at the Palm Beach Lake Trail

With iconic scenery and a paved pathway ideal for two wheels, the Palm Beach Lake Trail offers spectacular views of the Intracoastal Waterway and an urban view of the downtown West Palm Beach skyline. The trail is perfect for the whole family, as it’s easy to follow and includes many historical markers and stops along the way. Take a break in the shade under the giant Amazonian kapok tree that sits just feet away from the magnificent Flagler Museum. No ride? No worries! Bicycles and skates are available to rent locally along the trail.
