Bahamas Relief Efforts

September 5, 2019

Learn how you can help with Hurricane Dorian relief efforts.

Discover The Palm Beaches is fortunate to report that America’s First Resort Destination® weathered the storm with minimal impacts and is quickly regaining normalcy within 48 hours following Hurricane Dorian’s close brush with South Florida. With more than 90 percent of Palm Beach County hotels open for business, as well as 110+ county parks and recreational facilities, all county-managed beaches and numerous cultural attractions, the destination welcomes all residents, visitors, as well as meeting and conference attendees.

However, the storm has devastated our neighbors in the Bahamas and continues to move up the eastern coast of the United States. Discover The Palm Beaches is encouraging our visitors, residents and the tourism community to help those affected by the storm. We ask that you find ways to help either with your time by volunteering to help local relief organizations, by donating much needed supplies or by making a monetary donation to one of the relief organizations.

The list below is a sample of some of the organizations that are mobilizing here in The Palm Beaches as well as organizations outside our area providing much-needed aide to the Bahamas.
