March 25, 2019

Harvest celebrations, sports and foodie feasts fill this month with so much to do.

International Gay Polo Tournament

Spring brings prancing ponies and polo players to The Palm Beaches, where International Polo Club Palm Beach hosts the International Gay Polo Tournament April 4-7 in Wellington. The best GPL players gather to play the challenging sport, and fans eagerly watch. Enjoy elaborate tailgate competitions, nonstop flowing champagne and fun festivities. The tournament was recently awarded the title of LGBTQ Sporting Event of the Year by Connect Sports and promises to maintain its award-winning vibe. Head to the polo field for an unrivaled experience.

Boca Bacchanal

Sip and savor at one of the year’s top culinary events. Boca Bacchanal is a weekend full of fabulous food and wonderful wine, paired and presented by celebrated chefs. The weekend’s events take place throughout Boca Raton and provide the chance to indulge in the flavors of The Palm Beaches. Taste South Florida’s cuisine crafted by local chefs; events take place April 5-6.

Brew at the Zoo

Drink with the wildlife at Palm Beach Zoo April 6. Adults love the zoo, too, and now you can celebrate majestic wildlife while sipping on local craft brews. South Florida’s craft beer scene is booming; sample amazing beer from at least 25 local brewers. And with at least 2 different samples at each stop, there are more than 60 beers to choose from and taste. All the beer is brewed within 200 miles of the zoo, making Brew at the Zoo the lowest carbon footprint beer festival in the Southeast. Enjoy and explore this wild event in West Palm Beach.

Black Gold Jubilee

To celebrate the annual end of the harvest season, the entire Glades Region, from Belle Glade to Pahokee and South Bay, come together with friends and family at the Black and Gold Jubilee April 6. It’s fun for the whole family with a parade down Main Street, live entertainment, rides and games, delicious food, and a 5k or 10k walk/run. Play old-fashioned booth games and be tempted by the fresh-made jambalaya and boudin. The jubilee is a great way to connect with community and family.

Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction

Cruise into one of the world’s finest collector car events this April 11-13 in West Palm Beach, just one of just four stops on the exclusive Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction road show. This event is filled with auctions offering the chance to snag the car of your dreams. Beyond the auction block, there are educational symposiums, celebrity guests and top industry brands. Buckle in for the event of a car enthusiast’s dreams.

Delray Affair

April 12-14, celebrate art in the heart of Delray Beach. Delray Affair is South Florida’s oldest and largest arts & craft festival, now in its 57th year. Delray Affair takes place along the palm tree-lined downtown of Delray Beach and features an eclectic mixture of fine art, great crafts and funky products. And with vendors and attractions stretching over 12 city blocks, you’re bound to find something you love. See the street scene and come home with a brand-new piece of art.

Sweet Corn Fiesta

The temperate climate of The Glades Region is just right for sweet corn. And when the harvest comes around every spring, it’s time to enjoy this delicious buttery treat! April 28 in West Palm Beach is the Sweet Corn Fiesta, an all-day harvest celebration complete with food, activities and entertainment. Watch the sweet corn eating challenge, sweet corn shucking contest and contests made for kids. This festival is a sweet treat full of family fun.
