Palm Beach Balloon Festival, West Palm Beach

When: December 1, 5 pm.
The Palm Beach Balloon Festival returns in December! There are no tickets available at the gate.
Join us for food vendors, retail vendors, activities for the kids AND our nightly balloon glow and tethered rides - weather permitting! Get your tickets here.

Boynton Beach Free Monthly Concert Series, Boynton Beach

When: December, 5 pm - 8 pm
The City of Boynton Beach organizes a free family-friendly monthly concert series, on the first Friday of each month at 5 pm. The concerts will take place at the Centennial Park Amphitheater in downtown Boynton Beach. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the concerts on the Amphitheater’s lawn.

Sumi-e Ink Painting Floral and Landscape Class, Delray Beach

When: 

  • Floral Class: Thursdays, December 1, 8, 15, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm  
  • Landscape Class: Fridays, December 2, 9, 16, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm 

Sumi-e is a form of Japanese ink painting brought from China in the 12th century. Primarily done in black ink, the name literally means "charcoal drawing" in Japanese. Students grind their own ink using an ink stick and a grinding stone and learn to hold and utilize brushes to create the primary sumi-e brushstrokes. Floral and landscape classes will start with a review of the basic techniques before moving on to the main subject.

Lake Worth Beach Bonfires, Lake Worth Beach

When: December 2, 16, 6 pm -10 pm.
Pack up your s’more kits and enjoy roasting marshmallows around a mini bonfire on Lake Worth Beach. Lineup:

Kokedama Workshop, Delray Beach

When: December 3, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm or 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm 
Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing plants in a moss-covered ball of soil. It is wrapped with string and contains an ornamental plant growing inside. These beautiful and decorative plants, brings an organic and natural touch to planting orchids, succulents, and other ornamental plants. Learn the mechanics of how to make kokedama, creating two regular size and one small one to decorate your home or to give away to a special person.

Family Fun: Mizuhiki  

When: December 3, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm 
Use the magic of mizuhiki, washi paper cords, to bring the symbol of togetherness to your next gift.

Ikebana Flower Arrangement: Sogetsu School (Class) 

When: Wednesdays, December 7, 14, 21
Time: 

  • Beginners - 10:00 am –12:00 pm  
  • Intermediate – 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Flower arranging, ikebana, is a traditional Japanese art form spanning centuries. Ikebana has different schools of study, each with unique philosophies and aesthetics. The Sogetsu School is a contemporary school that focuses on creativity and individuality. Students will learn the basics of Sogetsu and create pieces each week to take home and enjoy.

When: December 8-11.

The Garden of Life Palm Beach Marathon, West Palm Beach

When: December 10-11
Run through picturesque tropical waterfront streetscapes during The Garden of Life Palm Beaches Marathon.It isn’t just a simple marathon – it's a weekend-long happening where you can come and enjoy all we have to offer. The Marathon consists of a full marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K, and 5K.

Screen on the Green, West Palm Beach

Watch a movie in downtown West Palm Beach right on the waterfront. Twelve Angry Men At Palm Beach Dramaworks, West Palm Beach 

When: December 9-24
In this timely, timeless, and taut classic, 12 jurors deliberate the fate of a teenager accused of killing his father. Only Juror #8 is uncertain of the young man’s guilt. As he compels the others to carefully examine the evidence, the prejudices and social attitudes of each man are revealed – as are the strengths and flaws of the American justice system.

Sunday on The Waterfront, West Palm Beach 

When: December 18,  4 – 7 pm. 
Sunday on the Waterfront is a monthly concert series where you can listen to the hottest acts right on the waterfront of West Palm Beach. This is a perfect weekend outing and a fantastic way to relax and unwind with friends and family on a Sunday afternoon. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs! On Sunday, December 18, the Aloha Islanders will be back for a festive Sunday on the Waterfront! Dancers from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand will perform high-energy routines for guests of all ages.

Boca Raton Bowl, Boca Raton

When: December 20.
The RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl returns to the FAU Stadium traditional spot, the Tuesday evening before Christmas, during the 2022 college football season. The ninth annual game will be played Tuesday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
