MOSAIC—the Month of Shows, Art, Ideas & Culture—is an annual celebration hosted and organized by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County that honors The Palm Beaches’ art, culture, and creativity through unique deals and offers at cultural organizations. Mother’s Day Orchid Giveaway May 2-7

Celebrate mom with the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority as they present the Downtown Delray Beach Orchid Giveaway in honor of Mother’s Day. From May 2-7, receive one Phalaenopsis Orchid Plant with every $200 spent shopping at downtown Delray Beach fashion boutiques, specialty stores, gift shops, art galleries, spas, salons, and fitness studios. Collect your receipts and pick-up your complimentary orchid May 5 – 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in front of these downtown merchants:   Global Pursuit at 400 E. Agave Festival May 5

On Cinco de Mayo from 5 pm to 8 pm, join the First Annual Agave Festival at PGA National Resort & Spa! During this event you’ll learn about and explore over twenty Agave brands with signature giveaway items and tasting stations where attendees can sample exclusive Tequila and Mezcal offerings. The Agave Festival will also feature live entertainment, including the Mojito Latin Band, a mariachi, local food trucks and chefs, festive décor, a cigar roller, an Agave lounge, and a Fire Dancing show. $75 package includes tacos, churros, pinchos, empanadas, street corn, tequila & mezcal tasting, live band, mariachi, and entertainment. Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Avocado Cantina May 5

 Join Avocado Cantina in Downtown Palm Beach Gardens for the ultimate Cinco de Mayo celebration! For this special occasion, the restaurant will offer beers and margaritas and live music all night. The party starts at 5 pm when the restaurant begins serving tantalizing tacos, tequila specials, and other dinner and drink specials. Both bars will be open and will offer tasty margaritas, including the Classic, the Avocado, and the Paloma either indoors or in the open-air spaces. Performers include DJ Machina, and the Mojito Latin Band that will bring salsa, merengue, cumbia, and bachata for you to dance to. Additionally, this year all guests can participate in the "Best Mustache and Sombrero Contest" for a chance to win a $250 Avocado Cantina gift card.

 

First Friday Art Walk May 6

On Friday, May 6, join the art galleries and working artist studios for First Friday Art Walk from 6 pm to 9 pm in Delray Beach. Stroll around downtown Delray Beach Arts District and explore the vibrant art scene throughout the galleries, studios, and shops. The downtown Delray Beach Arts District includes Artists Alley, Pineapple Grove, Atlantic Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue. Boca Bacchanal May 6-7

German Beerfest May 15

Organized by the American German Club of the Palm Beaches (5111 Lantana Rd., Lake Worth), the German Beerfest is a monthly celebration with a Munich Biergarten atmosphere. Join the German Beerfest on Sunday afternoon and enjoy live music, beer, wine, soft drinks, and brats for only $35. The fest hours are 12 pm – 5 pm. The kitchen is open from 12 pm to 3 pm, while music and beverage will be offered until 5 pm. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance; no tickets will be sold at the gate. Get tickets.

 

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical May 20-26

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts presents “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical,” a tribute to the icon of an era and the inspiration for every music diva who followed, featuring more than 20 of Summer’s classic hits including Love to Love You BabyBad Girls and Hot Stuff. Schedule:

Harmony May 21

After two years, Harmony: An Exhibition of The Arts is making its return to the Meyer Amphitheatre on Saturday, May 21, from 4 pm to 6 pm. The free event takes place on West Palm Beach waterfront and celebrates the arts with special performances of Ballet Florida, Palm Beach Symphony, Dreyfoos School of the Arts Orchestra, and local artist Chris Santiago.

 

Boynton Beach Art District Art Walk May 21

The Boynton Beach Art Walk is a promotional event that features exhibitions from artists who have studios located in the Industrial Craft District. The event takes place in the Boynton Beach Art District (410 W. Industrial Avenue) from 6 pm to 9 pm. Explore the art studios, engage with the artists, and learn more about unique art style and cultural influences. The event includes unique art displays, live music & entertainment, and food & beverages vendors.

 

Potter Crawl 2022 May 21-22

For all Harry Potter fans! Join the 4th Annual West Palm Beach Potter Crawl from Saturday, May 21, 6 pm, to Sunday, May 22, 2 am. Each ticket includes a collector cup, a bracelet for entry into all venues, five free drinks, a raffle ticket and more! The event will include Harry Potter inspired performances, themed drink specials and giveaways! Registration will begin at 6 pm and the crawl will officially start at 8 pm on Clematis St., Downtown West Palm Beach.

 

Art & Jazz on The Avenue May 25

Organized by the Downtown Development Authority in partnership with the Downtown Merchant Association, the Art & Jazz on The Ave is a cultural event that takes place in the South of Atlantic neighborhood (SE 3rdAve. from E. Atlantic Ave. to SE 2nd St.) from 6 pm to 9 pm. Enjoy art activations, live jazz, music, and local flair!

Florida Jerk Festival May 30

Celebrate Caribbean Culture and savor authentic Caribbean dishes at the Florida Jerk Festival! The festival welcomes anyone who loves Jerk-inspired dishes, for an event of food, family, and fun! Over 15 restaurants from South and Central Florida will be providing tasty jerk dishes. Jerk is the most popular way to prepare a dish in the Caribbean. The mixture of pimento, cayenne pepper, thyme, and other ingredients brings out a bold, undeniable flavor. AAPI Heritage Month at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens Various Dates

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach. The zen oasis will showcase a plethora of adult and family-friendly programming, including the new art exhibit, Behind the Wall: Visions of the Asian Experience in America, featuring powerful works by five legendary Japanese and Asian American mural artists. Throughout May, the museum is rolling out a to-do list of cultural endeavours, from sumi-e ink painting and the verdant beauty of bonsai to ikebana, the refined art of Japanese floral arrangement. And ocha lovers will enjoy the Way of Tea: Sado Demonstration on May 21, which showcases a luxurious tea ceremony from start to sip.
