Family-Friendly Resorts in The Palm Beaches

Travel blogger and mom Briana D’Andrea reveals her top 3 resorts for families with little kids!

With little ones in tow and a whole new perspective on family travel, it seems nearly impossible to be able to take a vacation with your babies. After Condé Nast highlighted The Breakers as one of the top places to vacation with infants and toddlers, I decided to break down my top 3 Palm Beach County, family-friendly resorts. The sand in your toes and the wind in your hair is closer than you may think.

The Breakers Palm Beach

The crown jewel of Palm Beach, The Breakers is reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance. Dating all the way back to 1896, it’s an institution and in a class of its own. With a rich history, 10 restaurants to choose from both on and off property, an incredible spa and shops to die for, it’s no wonder people travel from all over the world to stay here! Where do the kids fit in? Well, aside from the insane amount of family activities you can book…did someone say bike with baby seat? There’s a Family Entertainment Center and if you plan it out just right, you can eat at The Italian Restaurant and watch the littles play at the same time. The big kids can explore the arcade or a 9-hole mini golf course, and the outdoor playground makes for a nice spot to enjoy a coffee while the young ones roam! Plus, the four pools (one with zero entry) are just a hop, skip and a jump to the beach. You can request infant baths, bottles, warmers, and strollers and get this…they will even childproof the room for you! The speakeasy HMF lounge and the delicious Circle Brunch are two of our favorites and worth splurging on a babysitter for! The drinks are like none other, and the food is so meticulously prepared, your tastebuds won’t settle for anything less afterward. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya! Nothing says Palm Beach quite like The Breakers!

Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort & Spa

Located on the quaint and understated Singer Island, the Palm Beach Marriott is every family’s dream. Sweeping views of the Atlantic, a world-renowned spa and world class dining.  Before you stop to think how on earth could I bring my family to this island oasis, think again. With a zero-entry pool featuring waterfalls and a waterslide, a kids club and “kids night out,” and endless activities for every age, the only question you’ll be asking yourself is why you didn’t book sooner?!  The Palm Beach Marriott has everything from foosball, connect four and corn hole to arts and crafts, paddleboarding and canoeing! You can jump from the ocean to the pool and back again thanks to the resort’s beachside location. The hotel features two pools, 3 restaurants and even the option to order fabulous drinks and food by the water. We had the mahi salads for lunch and the bartender made me a fabulous passion fruit cocktail of some kind, which was a real treat! There was a special Mother’s Day brunch happening all day, so we didn’t get to order from the regular menu at 3800 Ocean, but the restaurant accommodated us, and we had a feast from off of their bar menu! From meatballs to Caesar salad sticks (a new favorite in our home), chicken wings and a sausage flatbread, all of the food was just incredible! Since dessert wasn’t available either, the staff was gracious enough to make us a sampler from the amazing desserts showcased at the brunch! We will have to make it back for their standard dinner menu sometime soon. We stayed in one of the gorgeous condo style family suites for and it was quite the luxurious stay! Featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, complete with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a king master suite, and views of both the ocean and the intracoastal, it was a beach lover’s paradise with prices fit for every budget!  The staff were such gracious hosts, and we’ll definitely make plans to be back soon! This hotel is an all-around favorite!

Eau Palm Beach

If heading further south is more your style, then look no further than Forbes’ 2022 Travel Guide winner, Eau Palm Beach. Situated perfectly between Palm Beach and Delray Beach, The Eau (meaning water in French), is a family friendly haven, that you may never leave although its proximity to the vibrant city of Delray is tempting. Unfortunately, the kids club was under renovation for the duration of our stay, but the kids still had a wonderful time and have since been begging to go back! From games to movies, crafts and special food accommodations, the children absolutely loved the independence it brought, and my husband and I felt like we were on a mini honeymoon! Win-win! We’ll definitely have to visit soon to check out the new digs!  We still talk about our 4-course meal at Angle, where they literally made the kids feel so welcome and involved, it was as if the entire experience was designed just for them! They loved the chance to get all dressed up and be treated like a king and queen! We still talk about their pizza and trust me we’re pizza connoisseurs.  Both the adults only and family pools have amazing views of the beach and the food is like none other. The 5-star spa (also a Forbes favorite) is a real treat, and the resort happenings keep guests busy no matter their appetite. We absolutely love the beachy vibes in their newly renovated rooms and overall enjoyed our experience there! Should mention we didn’t experience the spa on that trip, but I’ve been several times and it is by far one of the best in Palm Beach County! My favorite place to relax is in their swinging garden, that is really like a fairytale dream come true.   Looking forward to visiting again soon!
