Parks and Waterways With Intriguing Attractions

There are plenty of great places to go and things to see in The Palm Beaches. With countless exciting resorts and miles of beautiful beaches, it is no surprise that vacationers spend their days relaxing by the water.  For those visitors looking for something outside of the box, there are plenty of outdoor options that are exciting in some the destination's parks and waterways.

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens Nights are heating up in South Florida at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. If a leisurely stroll through the breathtaking gardens at sunset is not enough to bring you to Delray Beach, the summer's Sushi & Stroll Summer Walk Series adds the excitement of taiko drums and a cultural backdrop that can't be beat! Finish off the evening with tasty favorites from Cornell Café, including a great selection of sushi, fresh salads and classic Japanese entrees all while overlooking the beautiful gardens.

MacArthur Beach State Park Each summer, sea turtles begin their ancient ritual of crawling onto the The Palm Beaches’ beaches to nest after sunset. MacArthur Beach State Park offers guests the opportunity to be a part of the process by providing guided nighttime turtle walks. The turtle walks are held in June and July. Interested participants can call 561-624-6952.

Jupiter Outdoor Center Each month, the experienced guides at Jupiter Outdoor Center lead a guided full moon kayaking and paddleboard tour through the waters of the Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve. Reservations are required.
