Taste the Best of The Palm Beaches During Restaurant Week

From Aug. 16-31, restaurant hop around The Palm Beaches for the ultimate peek into the region’s culinary scene.

The first-ever Palm Beaches Restaurant Week kicks off Aug. 16. For just over two weeks, visitors and locals alike will savor local cuisine from a wide array of eateries spanning high-end restaurants and neighborhood gems. Participating businesses will feature delectable prix fixe menus and other deals so you can enjoy the best of the best for less. Ready to start planning your food journey? 1000 North

Jupiter’s 1000 North has been earning a reputation that’s as impressive as its celebrity partners (which include Michael Jordan and Ernie Els). It’s well-deserved too. This stunning waterfront restaurant overlooking the Jupiter Inlet and Jupiter Lighthouse features an inventive modern American menu executed by Executive Chef Jason Von Bomel, who loves introducing diners to new flavors. During Restaurant Week, he recommends two restaurant favorites that will be on the prix fixe menu: the BBQ #1 Ahi Tuna, an elevated take on comfort food featuring cornmeal-crusted oysters and green onion country ham butter, and the “street corn” Caesar salad with cotija cheese, cornbread crumble and charred corn relish.

3800 Ocean

Taste the Best of The Palm Beaches During Restaurant Week

Featuring fantastic oceanfront views and a vibrant atmosphere, 3800 Ocean Restaurant & Lounge at Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort & Spa is known for its “collective kitchen” led by Chef Jeffrey Armusik. Each chef brings their unique insight to the dining experience using regional ingredients and flavors. You might enjoy a dish that recalls the comfort food of New England or the Caribbean traditions of Jamaica. During Restaurant Week, start your meal with the Panzanella salad, featuring local arugula, tomatoes, garlic croutons and fresh mozzarella with a red wine vinaigrette (add a shrimp or crab cake for an added cost). For your entrée, consider the brined hickory-smoked, center-cut pork medallions, with peach and jalapeno chutney and sweet potato and plantain puree. Close out your oceanside meal with the indulgent banana cheesecake.

The Agency Kitchen & Bar

For something a little different, enjoy a day or night out at The Agency Kitchen & Bar, located within Paragon Theaters at the Delray Marketplace. At this Delray Beach hot spot, it’s all about dining, drinking and having fun whether you’re treating yourself to a burger, sipping on a craft cocktail or bowling at the on-site lanes. In addition to its must-have burger, other favorites on The Agency’s Restaurant Week prix fixe menu include the buffalo cauliflower appetizer topped with blue cheese and scallions, and the dulce de leche churros for dessert.

Café Centro

In West Palm Beach’s cool Northwood Village neighborhood, Café Centro serves upscale Northern Italian cuisine in a chic yet comfortable environment that often includes live music. In addition to serving a menu that includes inventive pastas and a wide variety of seafood, Chef William Graver is known for his delicious weekly dinner specials. One favorite staple dish that you can select as part of the Restaurant Week menu is the salmon, pan-seared to perfection until the skin is crispy and the meat is moist and tender. It’s topped with maple mustard glaze and comes with sides of grilled zucchini and red bliss potato.

Family owned and operated in Palm Beach Gardens for nearly 35 years, Café Chardonnay features locally sourced ingredients prepared from scratch daily. Chef Frank Eucalitto creates colorful, seasonal dishes with ingredients from local fisherman and farmers. Chef Frank also relies on his Italian roots, often incorporating sauces he learned while cooking alongside his dad as a child. One Restaurant Week dish that highlights his signature style is Key West pink shrimp served “scampi style” tossed with Tuscan olive oil, garlic and local, baby heirloom tomatoes. Another special treat is Chef Frank’s classic “No Anchovies!” Italian-style menu, now available at Café Chardonnay.

Galley Bar & Grill in the Hilton West Palm Beach is a warm and friendly eatery featuring the finest meats and freshest ingredients. Executive Chef Guillermo Eleicegui highlights his Argentinian roots with bold flavors like authentic chimichurri and traditional techniques including grilling on the wood-burning parrilla. The restaurant’s typical dinner menu includes a wide variety of specialty dishes, unique twists on classic fare and a dash of international cuisine from tapas to pizza. Grab a seat on the lush outdoor patio near the expansive fire pit or in the artful dining room, and prepare for an unforgettable dining experience no matter where you sit.

Leopard Lounge & Restaurant

This bar and restaurant within The Chesterfield Palm Beach hotel is nothing short of a Palm Beaches icon, known for its sophisticated but fun Gilden Age glamour. For Chef Gerard Coughlin, it’s all about being passionate about cooking, working with the finest ingredients and having a wonderful team. Leopard Lounge features an eclectic mixture of classic American, English, Asian and other international dishes, as well as signature recipes by founder Beatrice Tollman, including shrimp stroganoff and the ultimate South Florida dessert, Key lime pie. The highlight of Leopard Lounge’s Restaurant Week menu may just be its melt-in-your-mouth, pan-seared salmon served with a Meyer lemon béchamel sauce, fresh sauteed spinach and house-made mashed potatoes.

Nick & Johnny’s Osteria

Tucked into an unassuming plaza in Juno Beach, Nick & Johnny’s Osteria serves some of the best authentic Italian cuisine in a casual environment. Chef Angelos Demitry’s dinner menu includes traditional favorites such as eggplant Parmigiana and rollatini and chicken and veal entrees, alongside seafood, steaks, pork and lamb chops, pastas and some of the best sauteed chicken livers and crab cakes you’ll find anywhere. There’s also a bar featuring sandwiches, salads, pasta, wings and pizzas, plus live music on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. During Restaurant Week, try the jumbo lump crab cakes featuring both jumbo lump and colossal crabmeat with onion, parsley, eggs and light breadcrumbs for a binder. The crab cakes are pan seared with butter, capers, artichoke hearts, lemon and white wine.

Proper Grit

Echoing the festive yet sophisticated atmosphere of a 19th century public house, Proper Grit is the signature restaurant at The Ben hotel in downtown West Palm Beach. While the décor evokes an upscale Old Florida feel, the menu is all modern-day gastropub featuring a tempting array of starters, salads and sandwiches. The ideal Restaurant Week experience here might include the beet carpaccio featuring pears, goat cheese, lavender powder, walnuts and pomegranate dressing, followed by the portobello burger topped with balsamic onions, whipped feta and roasted red pepper spread. Complete your meal with the oh-so-decadent red velvet brownie with cream cheese icing.

Ramen Lab Eatery

With locations in Delray Beach, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, family-owned Ramen Lab Eatery is a hip, fast-casual staple of the local dining scene. According to Chef Louis Grayson, these are the only ramen shops in Palm Beach County that make their very own ramen noodles from scratch in house daily. During Restaurant Week, get an authentic taste of Japan and order the Naruto ramen. This dish features the restaurant’s famous, fresh noodles bathed in traditional tonkotsu pork broth. The special marinated soft-boiled eggs add a kick to each bowl. It’s all topped off with Naruto crab cakes, pork belly and marinated cooked bamboo, then finished with miso paste and garnished with scallions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Sundy House

Having dinner at this boutique inn and wedding venue is nothing short of an enchanting experience. Located on a lush, 1-acre property in downtown Delray Beach, this historic home was built in 1902 by John Sundy, the first mayor of Delray Beach and the construction superintendent for Henry Flagler’s railroad. Here, you can dine on new Florida cuisine in a beautiful tropical garden setting featuring waterfalls and coral rock paths. But it’s not just the setting of Sundy House that’s to-die-for; the menu is incredible too. Try the savory scallops risotto, delectable churros and a Key lime pie martini.

West Palm Beach Food Tours
