Shopping in The Palm Beaches

There’s shopping to buy something, and then there’s shopping as an experience. In The Palm Beaches, shopping is as much about finding a new addition to your closet as it is about ideal weather and comfortable ambiance. Stores in more than 20 shopping districts invite you to window shop, dress up and treat yourself. Famous brands and unique boutiques guarantee that a good time is in the bag.
Sophisticated signature Palm Beach style
Antique Row
On Antique Row, it’s less patchy velvet and more gently used Christian Louboutin. This quaint street, just south of Downtown West Palm Beach, was a huge reason why Palm Beach made Condé Nast Traveler’s list of best cities for shopping, and it’s easy to see why. From colorful Hermes scarves and Valentino blouses to intricate Baroque furniture, and art deco styles to home accessories like silver teapots and Wedgwood, this spot is laden with treasures. What’s more—every year the street hosts an Evening on Antique Row. The event features music, antique appraisal, food—including Latin American and Caribbean cuisine—cocktails and shopping to your heart’s content under a blanket of stars.

Worth Avenue

Worth Avenue
With palm tree-lined streets and cascading Bougainvillea bushes colorfully accenting this tropical, upscale atmosphere, Worth Avenue features Mediterranean architecture designed by the legendary Addison Mizner. Shops that are the epitome of luxury offer jewelry, antiques, apparel and accessories in an environment that wraps visitors in equal parts warmth and sophistication. Side streets, or “vias,” are like pocket gardens off Worth Avenue beckoning visitors to explore foliage and tucked-away boutiques. Originally developed in the early 1900s, it offers an old-world glamour alongside the contemporary and chic.
For the youthful fashionistas
C. Orrico
Nothing evokes the classy, colorful look of The Palm Beaches better than the designs of the late high-society fashion designer Lilly Pulitzer. This vibrant and preppy store in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach stocks tons of Pulitzer’s famous patterns and prints.
Rapunzel’s Closet
This light, bright store is a paradise for everyone from college students to edgy moms looking for hard-to-find fashions straight out of the latest issue of InStyle magazine. Jeans autographed by Rod Stewart and Jamie-Lynn Sigler adorn the walls of this fashion-forward boutique that features Splendid, Hudson jeans, quirky T-shirts and TKEES sandals. You’ll find it just north of The Everglades Club in Palm Beach.
Not your average mall

Palm Beach Outlets

Palm Beach Outlets
There are no better bargains than those at Palm Beach Outlets. This expansive shopping mecca is located off of I-95 near Downtown West Palm Beach. Conveniently, there’s a seasonal free trolley service that connects downtown and the outlets. The outdoor venue is easily walkable with an organized layout and shade structures throughout. Palm Beach Outlets is home to more than 130 stores featuring brand names at discounted prices. Some must-stop shops include Brooks Brothers, whose preppy fashions are a staple for Palm Beachers; Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, with top designer apparel; and children’s stores such as Carter’s and Toys R Us. There are endless shopping spots here that make tackling a gift list more like an exciting treasure hunt.
The Gardens Mall
Few malls can compete with this chic shopping spot that boasts flagship stores such as Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Saks Fifth Avenue. Opened in 1988, The Gardens Mall offers more than 150 stores for men, women and children including iconic high-end shops such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Gucci, as well as more budget-friendly fashion emporiums such as Gap, Express and Anthropologie. Perhaps even more important than the individual stores and hot brands, is the character of the mall. Clean lines, whimsical water features and walkways full of natural light from the skylights create a casual and inviting atmosphere.

Palm Beach Gardens Mall

Downtown at the Gardens
This fabulous outdoor shopping experience is the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. Stroll in the South Florida sunshine in this contemporary, open-air shopping mall that’s surrounded by palm trees and an uptown vibe. Snap selfies and stay connected to friends with free Wi-Fi access throughout the Downtown at the Gardens area, or kick back in Centre Court on select nights to take in a show from a local band. And children will be in awe of the 32-foot wide carousel featuring hand-carved wooden horses, sea horses and flamingos to ride.
Town Center at Boca Raton
From a distance, Town Center at Boca Raton may appear like a number of other upscale malls with staples like Nordstrom and The Apple Store, but walk the corridors and you’ll feel the distinction. Visit Oakley or Porsche Design to spoil the most stylish man on your list; step up your jeans game at Lucky Brand; enjoy a first-class lunch break with your friends at Mariposa at Neiman Marcus. More than just a mall, Town Center at Boca Raton is a matchless experience that comes from stores that promote quality, and a tropical setting that can’t be beat.
