The tradition continues with a fun and informative tour. Lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, Rick Rose leads you through much of the history of Worth Avenue. Highlighting its architectural importance, influence on the fashion world and the development of the legendary social scene that established Palm Beach as America’s First Resort Destination during the gilded age.

Beginning Wednesday, December 1, 2021 and ending April 27, 2022

Through colorful anecdotes and commentary, the exciting and informative tours explores the origins and character of Worth Avenue, its unique architecture, the historical significance of its legendary landmarks and some of its famous residents.

The tour begins at 10:30 am in Via Amore at 256 Worth Avenue across from Tiffany & Co. and Chanel.  There is free two hour parking on the street or at the Apollo parking lot for a fee.  The cost of the tour is $10 per person and a portion of which benefits the Historical Society of Palm Beach County as our “charity of choice”.  At this time there is no registration required.  Please be prompt for the tour so that we may issue your participating wrist band for identification.

You can also pick up a copy of Rick Rose’s book, Palm Beach: The Essential Guide to America’s Legendary Resort Town and take a self-guided tour of iconic Worth Avenue and the surrounding Palm Beach area.

Palm Beach: The Essential Guide to America’s Legendary Resort Town is a comprehensive illustrated guide to the “American’s First Resort Destination”. The hard-cover book is a rich and beautifully curated collection of the destination city, filled with the top must-sees, restaurants, one-of-a-kind shopping and attractions.  Copies are available at local bookstores.
