Palm Beach Polo Season 

Each January through April, the world’s premier polo players, and polo enthusiasts head to The Palm Beaches for top-level competition during Palm Beach Polo Season. Located in Wellington, the National Polo Center presents weekly and often daily events. 

2024 Polo Events

The schedule for the 2024 NPC winter season features events such as the Gauntlet of Polo, the NPC 16-Goal Championship, U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship, and National President’s Cup.

Kicking off on December 31, 2023, The Continental Cup will start with a New Year’s Eve polo match and conclude on January 7, 2024.

Tickets for public attendance and Sunday Brunch can be purchased online from mid-October at nationalpolocenter.com.

The 2024 Gauntlet of Polo will be the highlight of the NPC season, starting with the C.V. Whitney Cup from February 9-25, followed by the USPA Gold Cup from February 23 – March 24, and concluding with the U.S. Open Polo Championship from March 22-April 21.

The NPC 16-Goal Championship, formerly the Florida Circuit 16-Goal Super-Series, will involve multiple clubs in qualifiers, culminating in a championship hosted by NPC in April.

The National President’s Cup, a new addition to the NPC venue, will bring together talented 8-goal teams from around the nation. Qualifying tournaments will run from June 2023 to April 2024, with up to 14 tournaments leading to the final event at NPC in April.

More Fun Things to Do in Wellington

Wellington is equestrian central. Wellington International equestrian center hosts the Winter Equestrian Festival where, each January to April, riders from 2 to 70 years old and from Olympians to amateurs compete for millions in prizes atop more than 6,000 highly trained horses. The center is a sight to behold with more than 18 competition arenas on 500 acres of purely equestrian-focused grounds. The festival draws riders from every state and 52 countries as well as 250,000 spectators over the 13-week event. Each Saturday night, 10,000 fans fill the stands to enjoy the main event: the Saturday Night Lights Grand Prix, with the most celebrated jumping show of the week, entertainment, and 100-plus food and shopping vendors.
