The Practice of Optimism: Sculpture by Federico Uribe
In partnership with Adelson Cavalier Galleries, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and the Perry J. Cohen Foundation
Born in Colombia and Miami based, Uribes work is whimsical and leaves the viewer with a memory of humor, beauty and love. He creates sculptures that speak to human and animal existence using the neglected beauty of simple objects in daily use. Uribe will create and curate a special exhibition for ANSG using recycled materials from the ocean in partnership with the Perry J. Cohen Foundation with smaller works in the gallery. Uribes work has become prominent in the United States over the past decade. His artwork has been collected by and featured in multiple museums around North and South America, rapidly becoming some of the most sought-after contemporary art around the world. In this past year alone, Uribes work has been shown in Europe including the 2019 Venice Biennale, Asia, and widely across the United States. His exhibition at the Woodson Art Museum (Wisconsin) broke attendance records, and his new installation at the Brooks Museum (Memphis, TN) is on track to achieve the same attendance.
Exhibition runs Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Master Garden Talks are available at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays. Exhibition Tours are available at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
