Places to Golf: The Finest Courses in The Palm Beaches

Binks Forest Golf Club, Wellington 

One of South Florida’s most unique golf clubs, Binks Forest Golf Club is the premier semi-private golf club in the western Palm Beaches and located in the horse country of Wellington. Open to the public, the newly renovated 18-hole golf course provides a championship-caliber experience unlike any other in South Florida.

Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course, Boca Raton

There are five sets of tees from which to play, offering golfers of every level a challenge while making it an enjoyable experience. Courses are affordable, and pace of play program keeps you on time. The course, host to many tournaments over the years after opening in 1982, features Bermuda 419 fairways and Jones Bermuda dwarf greens.

Delray Beach Golf Club, Delray Beach

Delray Beach Golf Club was designed by the legendary golf course architect Donald Ross. As Betty Jameson, LPGA Hall of Fame member and long-time Delray resident, recalls, “It was accurate in measurement, had excellent fairways and exceptional drainage.” In fact, it was listed as one of the top 10 courses in the country. 

John Prince Learning Center, Lake Worth 

John Prince Golf Learning Center is a state-of-the-art, comprehensive golf learning and practice facility managed by Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation. It showcases 42 hitting stations with two covered hitting areas, a lighted driving range with multiple target greens, a practice fairway bunker, three regulation practice holes (a par four and two par threes), and 16,000 square feet of practice putting and chipping greens. 

Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course, Lake Worth

The golf course is comprised of an Old Florida design with a scenic 6,100-yard, par-70 course located along 1.2 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway. Rental clubs are Callaway Golf Strata clubs.

Lakeview Golf Club, Delray Beach

Lakeview Golf Club is The Palm Beaches' premier executive golf course. It's a par 60 and spans 3,006 yards. This 1972 classic is in exceptional condition with phenomenal greens and is a favorite for beginners, senior golfers and juniors. The course allows walking 365 days per year and offers a snack bar to its customers. Lakeview is the home to many annual events, including the “Goblin” and “Jingle Bell Scramble” for juniors, the “11 at 5” and other charitable tournaments.

Links at Boynton Beach, Boynton Beach

The Links is a complete golf facility featuring an 18-hole par-71 championship course, challenging -- but fun and interesting -- from any of its four sets of tees. The 9-hole par-30 executive-length family course, with five sets of tees, is an opportunity for families and friends to share a day in nature. The Links also offers a complete practice area with a grass tee driving range and free putting and chipping/bunker greens. Its staff of five Class-A PGA golf professionals offer top-quality instruction at reasonable rates. It also offers a full-service pro shop.

Okeeheelee Golf Course, West Palm Beach

This course offers 27 holes of championship entertainment in a park setting with beautiful vistas of Clear Lake. Okeeheelee, or “quiet waters” in the Seminole Indian language, provides three 18-hole combinations with its 9-hole courses.

Ospery Point Golf Course, Boca Raton 

Here, the environment, wildlife and natural habitat are first and foremost, as it is one of only five Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Courses in the world. Play a combination of three 9-hole courses.

Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course, Palm Beach

A Dick Wilson and a Raymond Floyd redesigned course rated in the Top 50 Most Fun golf courses in America by Golf Digest. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Florida’s beautiful Lake Worth Lagoon and Intracoastal Waterway.

Park Ridge Golf Course, Lake Worth 

Built upon a former industrial ground, the Park Ridge Golf Course is a certified Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary. It features one of the highest golf experiences in The Palm Beaches, on an 85-foot hill. Play one 18-hole course.

Red Reef Executive Golf Course, Boca Raton 

A multimillion-dollar renovation combined with magnificent Intracoastal and Atlantic Ocean views make this 9-hole, 1,357-yard course one of South Florida’s finest golf courses and an exciting challenge for every skill level.

Sandhill Crane Golf Course, Palm Beach Gardens

The Gardens Golf Course is one of the only golf courses in Florida that winds through natural preserved and wetlands areas. It plays to 6,500 yards through southern pines, palm trees and marsh land, while making defined elevation changes and creating breathtaking views. It’s quality golf while still being affordable.

Southwinds Golf Course, Boca Raton 

This Audubon International-certified course is an 18-hole, par-70 sanctuary for wildlife with its lush foliage, picturesque tree-lined fairways, and tranquil beauty. This haven for golfers is open seven days a week, including holidays.

West Palm Beach Golf Course, West Palm Beach

This former PGA TOUR site is a proud venue on the Florida Historic Golf Trail of courses open to the public. The course offers a full grass driving range, a large putting and practice chipping green with bunker, lesson programs, and a full-service snack bar with a large tiki hut for year-round enjoyment.

Boca Raton Resort & Club Country Club Course, Boca Raton 

An 18-hole par-72 championship golf course designed by world-renowned course architect Joe Lee and established in 1985. Host of the Dave Pelz Scoring Game School.

Boca Raton Resort & Club Resort Course, Boca Raton 

The two 18-hole golf courses offer a unique style of facilities and amenities that are combined with a touch of history and luxury. Courses rich in the history of when Snead and Armour held positions on staff, it is still synonymous with golf at its best.

The Breakers Ocean Course, Palm Beach 

Florida’s oldest 18-hole course located on site, redesigned by Brian Silva in 2000. Beautifully landscaped with manicured greens, this is a constant test for all skill levels. The Breakers features 36 holes of golf, including the new Breakers Rees Jones course and the John Webster Golf Academy.

The Breakers Rees Jones® Course, West Palm Beach

18-hole championship golf course, newly reconstructed by renowned golf course architect Rees Jones. A lushly landscaped and challenging course designed in Jones’ renowned neo-classic style, The Breakers features 36 holes of golf and the John Webster Golf Academy.

PGA National Resort & Spa - The Champion Course, Palm Beach Gardens

Originally designed by Tom and George Fazio for major tournament play, The Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1990 and hosts the Honda Classic each spring on the PGA TOUR.

PGA National Resort & Spa - The Estate Course, Palm Beach Gardens

Golfers will find a masterful mixture of sand and water, while playing on lush green fairways and greens that wind through open meadows lined with Florida pines and subtropical foliage.

PGA National Resort & Spa - The Fazio Course, Palm Beach Gardens

The first course opened for play at PGA National. In designing the course, Tom and George Fazio’s goal was to create an outstanding quality course that would be playable for all levels of golfers.

PGA National Resort & Spa - The Palmer Course, Palm Beach Gardens

Named for its designer, The Palmer favors the Scottish traditions with its links layout, undulating fairways, numerous grass bunkers and the sharing of a common green by the 8th and 12th holes.

PGA National Resort & Spa - The Squire Course, Palm Beach Gardens

This Tom Fazio-designed course is a “thinking man’s course,” requiring golfers to test their accuracy off the tees and their precision with short irons into the greens.

The Seagate Country Club, Delray Beach

A remarkably mature Joe Lee golf course winds through 300 acres with Celebration Bermuda Grass tee boxes and Champion Bermuda Grass greens. Game improvement is only a stroke away at the practice facility, featuring a driving range, expansive putting green, pitching and bunker areas, and a PGA professional teaching staff available year-round.

Allianz Championship, Boca Raton
