Pet-Friendly Things To Do

Enjoy fun filled days without having to leave your hound behind, The Palm Beaches have a great selection of pet-friendly things to do.

Dog Parks
Dog Parks are rapidly appearing across the nation and The Palm Beaches are home to many beautiful grounds through Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation. Be sure to check out the new Lake Woof Dog Park located in John Prince Park in Lake Worth. This four-acre grassland is equipped with five fenced-in enclosures with three seperate sections for small, medium and large dogs, five covered gazebos, multiple dog wash stations, and several water fountains. Along with Lake Woof Dog Park, The Palm Beaches are home to many other dog parks. Jupiter is also in the process of building a park that pups and owners are guaranteed to enjoy.

Everyone wants their pooch run loose, but there are certain restrictions dog owners must follow for their fur babies to get along. We encourage you to use the correct dog park etiquette: picking up after your dog, keeping your dog on a leash until you are in the permitted off-leash areas, and paying attention to your dog to ensure they aren’t playing too rough with the others.

Shopping
Don’t let your pet hold you back from shopping till you drop… simply bring them along for the day! The shopping districts in The Palm Beaches are very pet-friendly.
 Green Market Shopping
Take a stroll down Worth Avenue and when window shopping gets the best of you, stop for a drink at one the four dog-watering fountains around town. Pet Park at CityPlace in West Palm Beach spoils your canine by providing a shady patch of grass with a water fountain accessible. Your pup can rehydrate after a long day of shopping and sniffing.

Events
Clematis by Night takes place on Thursday nights in downtown West Palm Beach. Dog friends are always welcomed at this waterfront hot spot. You and your pup can experience a night on the town with live music and entertainment all around.

Looking to give your dog a unique experience?
Sign your pal up for surfing lessons. Located just north of Jupiter Reef Club, the dog beach is the prime spot for weekend surf lessons.

Dining
While you are out and about in The Palm Beaches, stop by one of the pet-friendly restaurants so you and your canine can refuel. Boston’s on the Beach in Delray is just one example of the pet-friendly places to eat in The Palm Beaches. Their covered patio and Pooch Menu featuring pet-friendly Bowser Beer is a hit for dogs and their owners. Just north in West Palm Beach, is the vegetarian restaurant, Darbster. Named after the owner’s late poodle, Darby, all profits of this eatery go to the Darbster Animal Rescue Organization. Bring your pup to this pet-friendly place, sit on the shaded patio and enjoy the vegan dishes knowing your bill goes to a great cause.
