Big things are happening at the museum this spring. An enormous cube sculpture recently installed outside the entrance invites visitors to give the 2,000 pounds of steel a spin with just a push. Inside a 30-foot-long site-specific mural, designed by Venezuelan artist Jose Alvarez, wows with its brilliant colors and psychedelic shapes. Among the upcoming special exhibitions is Lisette Model: Photographs from the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada, on view April 24 through Oct. 21, 2018.
