If you’re flying in, hop on I-95 (or put the top down for a scenic cruise along the coast on A1A) to reach Boca Raton, the southernmost city in The Palm Beaches. Here you’ll be treated to a dazzling collection of beaches, waterfront golf courses and upscale resort hotels. Lively Mizner Park is the heart of Boca Raton, with great shopping and galleries, the excellent Boca Raton Museum of Art and an amphitheater for live music and events (be sure to put Festival of the Arts BOCA on your calendar).
 
For retail therapy, it’s hard to beat the South Region – from the fashion-forward boutiques of Mizner Park to the glittering Town Center at Boca Raton shopping mall. In Delray Beach, explore a funkier, artsier side of The Palm Beaches. Stroll Atlantic Avenue for eclectic bars, cafes and shops, stopping only when you reach the ocean. Nearby, Pineapple Grove and Old School Square are great places to meet local artisans and sample tasty world cuisine. And Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens offers a peaceful respite of flora and fauna for you to explore at your leisure. (Don’t miss the iguanas who call the property home!)
 
From Boynton Beach Harbor Marina, you’ll have access to amazing reefs and water sports for the whole family – from speedy boat charters to leisurely stand-up paddleboarding. Looking for a moment of zen? Soak up the natural splendor of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, where birdwatchers will spy all sorts of wading and migratory species.
