Words in Paradise

If you have an idea for the next great novel, ever dreamt of being published, or maybe you're simply a bibliophile who just loves anything and everything about books, then the Palm Beach Book Festival is your event. This two-day meeting of the minds is not only a celebration of literary talent, but a symposium of big ideas and important issues.  Come celebrate words in paradise with some of your favorite authors and thinkers! For 2021 the event will be virtual.  A current schedule can be found here.

Recognized Talent
The caliber of literary talent slated to attend the 2020 Palm Beach Book Festival includes acclaimed authors, editors, journalists and media personalities. This year's lineup includes Larry Loftis, Louis Bayard, Patricia Marx and Cathleen Schine; MSNBC host and author Joy-Ann Reid; and political journalist David Kogan. Leigh Haber, book editor of O, the Oprah Magazine, will return to moderate a panel on social issues featuring authors Jeanine Cummins and Liz Moore.

Be an Insider
The Palm Beach Book Festival will be held at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and there is plenty more cultural inspiration to be found throughout The Palm Beaches. Boca's Mizner Park is home to local shops, restaurants, museums like the Boca Raton Museum of Art, and an open-air amphitheater for live music. A short drive north, the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District features more than 20 distinctive art and history museums, galleries, libraries and performing arts venues, showcasing everything from acclaimed family favorites to the provocative and experimental. There is even a dedicated free trolley to make getting around easy and enjoyable.
