Between The Sessions: Community Partnerships

Between-The-Sessions: Community Partners & Destination Champions

Integrate Community Partners & Destination Champions Into Meetings & Events

In The Palm Beaches, working together extends beyond the ballroom. Set the tone for success and bring the best to the table by enlisting the local expertise and regional experience from our community partners at your next group meeting or event.

Secure a keynote speaker from our vital local industries and well-known corporate headquarters such as AT&T, 4Ocean, TBC Corporation, Chatham Lodging Trust, Hope Water, BurgerFi, Pinnacle Hotel Management, and more. Leaders, pioneers, and company heads may just be the motivation and inspiration your team needs to hear to round out the quarter. Even better, take advantage of The Palm Beaches’ Destination Champions Program, which gathers community leaders and advocates of the region. These individuals are local business partners industry experts and thought leaders ready to welcome visitors, host dynamic and memorable meetings, activate local partnerships, and create those “wow” moments between conference sessions that both inspire and connect your meeting attendees.

Bring in an area artist to create a custom piece for your event- or site-specific art during the meeting. Or, have a local musician perform or play at your event’s social hour. Cultural Council for Palm Beach County’s Cultural Concierge Program offers a network of talented artisans for booking to help create an immersive experience within the meeting spaces—including on-site art installations, performances, and exhibitions. Should the meetings stay all business, and you’d prefer to plan for between-the-sessions, the Council can also arrange for group visits/tours to one of the 200+ cultural institutions in the destination.

Awaken attendees with an on-demand coffee experience from a local roasteries. West Palm Beach’s Pumphouse Coffee Roasters, Common Grounds Brew & Roastery, Watercolor Coffee Co., Subculture Coffee, and Roast Up are just a few of the craft coffee purveyors to source for your early morning meetups or pick-me-ups between-the-sessions.

Partner with local agricultural companies to offer farm-fresh food and beverage experiences that include local produce, eco-minded products, farm-to-table experiences, and sustainable food production options. Swank Specialty Produce, for example, offers a large set-up of rotating seasonal produce from Swank Farm for caterers, restaurants, and event venues.

Include A/V production by utilizing The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission, who is a close Palm Beaches’ partner and can provide easy access to the destination’s production companies and resources. We have many A/V partners within the county—including Apex Productions and Burlingame Consultants, who are experts in producing video and meetings.

Have an immersive marketplace of local Palm Beach products brought in by partner boutiques, vendors, and creators. You can find many of these artisans/purveyors at local farmers markets. Or, you can utilize The BDB of Palm Beach County, which works closely with the Chambers of Commerce and other county organizations which could direct you to the specific retail businesses you’d prefer to source for your event’s shopping asset between-the-sessions.
