Group Sales & Destination Services Internship
Student will report to Global Sales & Destination Services. A project outline will be issued at the beginning of the internship, each week a new component will be introduced that will provide a variety of exposure to the sales organization at DTPB. A variety of weekly duties and special projects will be presented over the course of the internship. Each week, the intern will meet with the Senior Director of Destination Services to evaluate his or her progress, strengths / skills and identify areas he or she would like to be engaged with in greater depth, or level of knowledge and understanding, based on curriculum application.

Account Executive, Group Sales
This junior-level sales and sales support position is primarily responsible for partnering with 2 Sales Directors in promoting and selling The Palm Beaches as a meeting destination for the Association, Corporate, and/or Specialty group market. Discover’s Sales Director’s may either be in office, or remotely in Atlanta, Chicago, Washington DC or Rhode Island.
 
The Account Executive, Group Sales will help manage the account database for their assigned markets, while delivering a high level of customer service to clients and assisting where needed for in-market events.  Other activities will include account research, prospecting and new business development.  This position must effectively communicate with other colleagues and all organization partners.

Human Resources/Destination Development Executive Assistant  
Reporting directly to SVP Destination Development with a dotted line to the Sr. Director of HR Services, Engagement and Diversity,  the Executive Assistant provides administrative, employee and vendor support in a variety of functions within Destination Development and Human Resources.

Business Intelligence Internship
Business Intelligence gathers an extensive database of research on destination performance and future trends. The wealth of accumulated data has the potential to uncover new insights, improve decision making and resource allocation to grow the tourism economy. This is a tremendous opportunity for an individual interested in developing their analytical skills while gaining exposure to internal operations of a Destination Marketing Organization. By generating valuable insights, a successful internship will make a significant contribution to the Palm Beach County tourism economy. To achieve this, the Business Intelligence Intern will be exposed to current reports and analytics and challenged to enhance insights and communication gleaned from those reports and other data sources.
