Art After Dark, West Palm Beach

Each Friday night from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach organizes Art After Dark—a fun mix of art and entertainment featuring a docent-led tour, an open studio, live music, and more! This Friday, join Resident Teaching Artist Lymari Cuevas to enjoy a Mix-Media experience creating unique interpretations of the flowers shown in the Still Life paintings of the Collection.

Full Moon Silent Disco & Cacao Ceremony, Singer Island

When: May 24, 6 pm.

Flow freely on the beach dance floor under the light of the full moon. Listen to your body, explore moving in new ways, and experience the incredible benefits that this embodiment practice can bring.

The full moon marks a time for clearing patterns that no longer serve us and renewing our intentions and commitments to ourselves. This therapeutic ecstatic dance experience allows you to embody what you are stepping into and release what’s not serving you on the dance floor.

Peace of Woodstock, Delray Beach

This show will take you on a musical journey from the acoustic opening act of the Woodstock experience, Richie Havens, through the closing moments of the festival with the explosive, electric sounds of Jimi Hendrix. Also featured are songs from Crosby, Stills, and Nash, The Who, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, Joe Cocker, Arlo Guthrie, Country Joe McDonald, Santana, the Jefferson Airplane, and others.

Most of the members of Peace of Woodstock grew up playing together in various bands around the Tampa Bay Area, followed by many years extensively touring most of the 50 states and parts of Europe with many top groups and recognizable names in the rock world.

FREE Sunset Concert: Kenny Chesney Tribute + Country Line Dancing!

Join us at the Amphitheatre (rain or shine) for a magical night with live music as we kick off the summer and the Memorial Day weekend with our FREE Sunset Concert series in Downtown Delray Beach. Come early for a line dancing lesson and performance by Gabriel Key and then get ready to boogie with the Ultimate Kenny Chesney Tribute by Fast Forward with Derek “Cowboy Kenny” Villgas.

The FREE Sunset Concerts will occur on the fourth Friday of every month. Bring your lawn chairs and your dancing shoes and enjoy a night of fun, free entertainment with some of the best regional/national bands!

Sensory Saturdays at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Juno Beach

Experience a new way to enjoy Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) with Sensory Saturdays

Sensory Saturdays was designed for adults and children on the autism spectrum to enjoy a quieter, more inclusive time at the Center with their friends, families, and caregivers. Sensory Saturdays is a free program and is held on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m., before regular operating hours, with minimal crowds and sensory triggers.

During this hour, guests will be able to explore the outdoor hospital and the indoor exhibits in an environment with dimmed lighting and minimized sounds. Should guests wish to extend their visit beyond the hour of Sensory Saturdays, they have the option to checkout one of LMC’s sensory backpacks to continue their experience. These backpacks contain various tools including over-the-ear headphones, sunglasses, gloves, communication cards, and sensory toys.

Morning Beach Yoga at The Seagate Beach Club, Delray Beach

Get your weekend dose of Vitamin Sea at The Seagate’s sunrise beach yoga class in Delray Beach. Held weekly on The Seagate Beach Club’s private beach, the 60-minute morning Vinyasa yoga flow class taught by Cocoyogi’s Corey Heyman will help build strength, stamina, flexibility, and concentration. Classes feature creative postures, meditation, and pranayama (breathwork). Guests should bring a mat. Towels and Fiji water are provided. Open to all levels. Get tickets.

Find “Tiny Doors” Hidden in Downtown West Palm Beach

When: May 24 – July 7

The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is launching a one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt in Downtown West Palm Beach that will put participants’ best investigating skills to the test.

Between May 24 and July 7, the DDA will hide “Tiny Doors” at locations throughout Downtown West Palm Beach.  Each week, prizes will be awarded to three explorers who are able to track down these hidden treasures.

The contest is open to the public and offers the community a great opportunity to explore all of what downtown has to offer.

Selected winners will be awarded prizes valued at $100 every week, so there will be plenty of chances to visit “The Center of Paradise” in Downtown West Palm Beach.
