Founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife team Jaime and Joana Lara, Salento Coffee is a proudly Hispanic-owned coffee shop bringing the rich traditions of Colombia to Downtown West Palm Beach. Nestled on Clematis Street, the café is known for serving authentic Colombian brews like tinto and cerrerito, alongside fresh arepas, empanadas, and tropical juices. More than just a coffee shop, Salento is a cultural experience — a warm and welcoming space where every cup tells a story of heritage, resilience, and passion.

811 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach The Box Gallery is an art gallery owned and operated by Rolando Chang Barrero, better known by his friends as Roly. U.S. born of Latin descent, Mr. Barrero wants everyone to be immersed in the arts. Everyday guests, art collectors and interior designers alike should view the contemporary fine art collections and exhibitions at his gallery. An artist, independent curator and arts connoisseur, Barrero has received multiple accolades for his artistic endeavors, including the 2021 MUSE Award for Outstanding Cultural Leadership in Palm Beach County.
7116 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach Founded in 2018, La Cabana Latin Grill is a family-owned Mexican and Cuban restaurant. It’s known for serving many tasty delights, including its classic Cuban sandwich and must-try birria quesa tacos. The birria quesa tacos are served in a fried crispy shell loaded with either fresh shredded chicken or beef and melted cheese. The dipping sauce on the side adds a layer of immense flavor.

430 Plaza Real, Boca Raton Cielito Artisan Pops is owned by Sindy Posso, whose mission is to “share our passion for healthy, creative and tasty sweets.” The Colombian-born owner offers 46-plus flavors of handcrafted frozen treats that rotate weekly and will make your taste buds tingle. There is a broad selection of fruity pops, creamy pops, vegan pops and even PUPsicles for your dog. You have to try this place not only for to the taste and artistic presentations, but for the authenticity: Posso does not use GMO products, artificial flavors or colors, preservatives, or high fructose corn syrup.

2880 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton Founder and owner Loibel Lottermann of family-owned dance boutique Loibels Fitness Dance Center grew up in Venezuela has a passion both for international dance and for helping adults and children live a healthier lifestyle. Lottermann’s goal is to create an environment where everyone can feel relaxed, gain confidence and connect with a community of like-minded individuals while getting in shape. Start your Saturday with an energy-filled Zumba workout with the owner herself at 9:30 a.m. The class brings a lot of joy and fun, while providing a great overall workout. Lottermann is licensed to teach Zumba and has been teaching dance fitness for over a decade.
6801 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach Roberto Reyes opened Cuban mainstay Havana Restaurant more than 25 years ago. Today, his daughter Martha, her husband Rafael and Reyes’ granddaughter Vanessa run the iconic restaurant. Among its many accolades, the restaurant’s Cuban sandwich was rated one of the top 10 in Florida by USA Today. Well-known celebrities like Sofia Vergara, Martha Stewart and others have been known to dine at Havana. In addition to serving tasty food, the Reyes family has been known to give back to the community. This is a wonderful place and local treasure.

120 South Dixie Highway, Suite 104, West Palm Beach Lara House of Beauty is a family business owned by Colombian mother-daughter duo Marisol Lara and Valentina Lara. Marisol is known in the community for loving what she does and giving amazing facials. Valentina excels in lashes and microblading. At Lara House of Beauty, they take their time and offer personalized services that help their guests look and feel their very best. The space is spotless and well-organized and will keep you calm and at ease.

511 Northwood Road, West Palm Beach In January 2019, wife and husband duo Misleidy Amores and Pedro Rivera opened Mestizo Peruvian Cuisine. Misleidy, who is Cuban, and Pedro, who is Peruvian, bring together a great blend of flavors and present their dishes exquisitely. Mestizo Peruvian Cuisine is known for fish or mixed seafood ceviche, beef or chicken saltados, fried yuca, causas and fruity chicha morada. Among other dishes, this Peruvian restaurant offers a comprehensive vegan menu with all the yummy fixings.

4391 Northlake Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens Sabor Latino Restaurant is owned by Edgar Perez, a Guatemalan-born immigrant who arrived in this country at the age of 14. Sabor offers a beautiful multicultural Latin experience, with dishes ranging from Colombian arepas and Cuban ropa vieja to Mexican burritos and huevos rancheros to Peruvian ceviche. In addition to the diverse food, Sabor Latino Restaurant is known for its generous, warm and homey hospitality.
4068-1 Forest Hill Boulevard, Palm Springs Tropical Bakery & Restaurant is a popular mom-and-pop shop serving Cuban cuisine. The owners’ grandfather Armando came from Cuba and opened this restaurant in 1989. Tropical Bakery & Restaurant is known for Cuban coffee, fresh pastries and other Cuban specialties. The croquettes and empanadas are a fixture here, and the prices are so reasonable. Plan to carry cash when you visit as Tropical Bakery & Restaurant does not accept credit cards.
