14 of the Best Splash Parks, Pools and Water Parks in The Palm Beaches

South Florida blogger Leanette Fernandez of FuntasticLife.com loves visiting The Palm Beaches with her family. Here she lists great ways to cool off during the hot summer months.

Whether you’re visiting The Palm Beaches or live in South Florida and are planning a staycation, there are a ton of outdoor activities to enjoy in Florida’s warm year-round weather. We think water activities are some of the best ways to stay cool, so we’ve put together 14 of the area’s best water parks, pools and splash pads for your little ones (and you!).

Water Parks

Rapids is great for groups, with lots of multi-person tube rides.

Admission is $42.99 Monday-Friday and $47.99 Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

Coconut Cove Waterpark & Community Center

Cool off in this interactive water sprayground where the kids can be sprayed from 23 different directions. Plus, there are two water slides—one loops around, and the other’s a straight shot to a shallow pool below.

Free with your paid admission into Lion Country Safari.

John Prince Park

Hop on over to this splash pad in Lake Worth to enjoy some water fun with friends—a large frog and a whale. The kids can stand under the whale’s giant splashing tail, run through a series of spray arches and enjoy the buckets of water that tip over or the rotating spray cannons. Plus, there are three shade sails that offer sun protection for little ones as well as parents.

The park is free and open to the public.

Westgate Park and Recreation Center

Westgate Park in West Palm Beach provides an interactive experience that leaves kids guessing which sprayer is going to get them next. There’s also a water buggy, tipping water buckets, and more.

The park is free and open to the public.

Patch Reef Park

When it’s hot out, the highlight of this Boca Raton park is definitely Pirates Cove Playground, at the center of which kids can enjoy an entire “island” of watery fun. Three cannons shoot water, and kids can spin them around to aim at each other (or unsuspecting parents). Even the ship’s mast and surrounding palm trees shower down water.

The park is free and open to the public.

Sugar Sand Park

Smiling sea creatures spray kids with water on the newly renovated playground at this park in Boca Raton, or they can take aim with rotating water guns.

The park is free and open to the public.

Centennial Square and Fountain Park

In addition to being eye-catching, this interactive fountain in the heart of West Palm Beach provides a fun splash area for the kids to cool off. The plaza also features benches, tables and chairs for parents to relax, and several restaurants and shops are nearby.

The plaza is free and open to the public.

Palm Beach Zoo

Don’t forget to bring the kids’ swimsuits when you visit the zoo—yes, you read that right. Changing tents are available, so let them run through the interactive fountain and get their fill of the water jets.

Free with your paid admission into Palm Beach Zoo.
