DTPB Makes a Splash at Palm Beach County Day

Tallahassee was bustling on the first day of the 2025 Florida Legislative Session on March 4, and the Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB) team moved swiftly from meeting to meeting with local representatives and senators. The iconic 40-foot “The Palm Beaches” letters were a striking sight for everyone entering the capitol building, with additional letters displayed inside the rotunda. This was all in celebration of Palm Beach County Day 2025, when local leaders and stakeholders gather at the capital to promote the county.

DTPB President & CEO Milton Segarra, Senior Vice President of Marketing Erika Constantine, and Senior Director of Community Engagement & Advocacy Sergio Piedra met with legislators. The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and Palm Beach County Sports Commission were also present to engage with state leaders. 

The team met with Senators Tina Polsky, Lori Berman, and Mack Bernard; and Representatives Tae Edmonds, Debra Tendrich, Joe Casello, Peggy Gossett-Seidman, Kelly Skidmore, and Meg Weinberger.

We extend our thanks to the Palm Beach County Public Affairs and Legislative Affairs departments for organizing another successful Palm Beach County Day. DTPB was proud to be one of the event sponsors, and we eagerly anticipate returning next year.

As the Legislative Session moves along at full speed DTPB is making sure you – our local tourism industry – is represented. With help from Palm Beach County Legislative Affairs, Destinations Florida, and the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, we’re ready to reach out to our local Senators and Representatives and to see them in Tallahassee to discuss how any proposed bills could affect The Palm Beaches.
