Where to go and what to do with teens when visiting #ThePalmBeaches
Your cute little kid has turned into a full-blown teenager, making the job of keeping him entertained a whole lot more challenging. There are plenty of options for teens to have fun in The Palm Beaches. With a wide range of activities to choose from including museums, arcades, tours and more, here’s a list of teen-tested things the whole family can enjoy. Boomers! – Boca Raton, Fla.
In Boca Raton, Boomers! has a wide assortment of teenage diversions, enjoyable for both teens and parents. From bumper cars to go-karts to mini-golf, Boomers! offers hours of fun for everyone. There’s a state-of-the-art game room with all the latest titles, and a huge assortment of fun food is also available.
Silverball Museum & Arcade – Delray Beach, Fla.
While your teen is likely an expert when it comes to online video games, they’ll find this museum alluring and unique. Filled with pinball machines dating back to the 1930’s, blinking lights, upbeat music, and the sweet ding-ding-ding of points being earned, it’s an experience for multi- generations. A single-entry pass is all that’s required, for unlimited play. 1980’s video arcade games such as Nintendo and Atari are also available for play, while food is available on the second level offering nostalgic treats.
Pedego Electric Bike Tours – Juno Beach, Fla.
Touring The Palm Beaches by bike is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, sightsee or stay active while on vacation. With an electric bike, you’ll roll through your tropical tour in powered comfort, at a speed of up to 20 mph. Enjoy the breeze, check out the sights and barely break a sweat with the powered assist. Tours cover beach areas, peaceful country trails and Palm Beach’s famous Lake Trail.
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum – Jupiter, Fla.
Venture up 105 steps to an awe-inspiring view of the Jupiter Inlet when you visit the Lighthouse and Museum. Teens will love the adventure of climbing up the tight spiral stairway, and the 360-degree view at the top is perfect for a selfie. Built in the 1850’s, the building is the oldest structure in Palm Beach County.
The Rapids Waterpark – Riviera Beach, Fla. If your teen loves water slides and waterparks, then The Rapids is a sure winner. There are thrills for every member of the family, so no one is left out. The big twisting slides sweep through an island theme filled with rocks and palm trees. Covered cabanas are available for rental, and two snack bars provide a wide range of quick bites and full meals.
Escape Rooms – West Palm Beach, Fla.
An escape room is a timed test of skill and intellect where players are “locked” in a room for 60 minutes, with a challenge to escape. During that time, clues must be unraveled and puzzles solved in order for you to escape. This challenging fun is a blast for teens as well as parents with an interest in mystery and puzzle-solving. There are a few in the area to pick from: Legends of Xscape and West Palm Beach Escape Rooms, Extraordinary Escape Rooms, and The Escape South Florida.
