Galentine’s Day in The Palm Beaches

Celebrate Friendship and all Things Pink

By: Claudia Caminero

A modern holiday, Galentine’s Day is all about spending time with your female friends doing fun girly things to celebrate your friendship. Whether you like getting dolled up and dining out, going shopping at one of the top destinations in the country, and helping each other find a lovely outfit, maybe a day of pampering and self-care, or bringing out the artistic side at an arts workshop, the Palm Beaches has them all and more. I made a wonderful list of activities and places to make your Galentine’s Day an unforgettable and meaningful celebration by focusing on a lot of pink places and things to do that aren’t your everyday.

Activities

Ice Skating

Tell the group chat that we are going ice skating for Galentine’s Day! Perhaps not the first thing that comes to mind when celebrating with the girls, but when was the last time that you visited the ice rink? Something fresh and new is always a good idea when building memories with our friends. I love going to the Ice Rinks to watch the adult hockey on weeknights, and I currently have plans to go ice skating, which I haven’t done in a while, and I am so looking forward to it. If this will be your first time, don’t worry, most of these rinks have “trainers”, those plastic walkers to help you skate, and if you just want to hold on to the edge, that works too. Make sure you check their website or call to find out what the public skating hours are.

Play Padel

Padel is, yes, with one “d.” It’s a Mexican racquet game, a fusion of squash and tennis that has become a sensation in the U.S with courts rapidly opening all over the country.

The largest indoor club in the United States, Xcel Padel, recently opened up in West Palm Beach. When I would drive by, I used to think they were building a huge Costco, haha, so yes, it’s very big even from the outside. But talk about an amazing place to celebrate Galentine’s Day. They have a pink court, I mean, it doesn’t get more on theme than that. And that’s not all, sauna, cold plunges, and IV therapy are just some of the amenities that you can find at Xcel Padel. After an active game of padel and relaxing in the sauna, you can indulge in some healthy meals and drinks at their on-site restaurant, Olea & Bloom cafe.

Self-Care and Pampering

We ladies love a day at the spa or just having a little self-care by getting our hair and nails done. Something about these treatments just makes us feel so good, and having company like our bestie just makes it even better. One of my favorite places to go is the PGA National Spa. This spa has some of the top spa amenities, including a private outdoor oasis featuring a swimming pool, jacuzzi, cabanas, and a health bar with refreshing mocktails and sweet acai bowls.

If you want to do something for your daughter and her friends, this could be a very cute option for them to celebrate Galentine’s Day.

Shopping in Palm Beach

Retail therapy is definitely a can’t-miss activity for Galentine’s Day. I can’t be the only one who has the best time with her girlfriends, going from store to store, trying cute things on, and waiting to get their feedback on the outfits.

One of my favorite stores to go shopping in Palm Beach is Lilly Pulitzer. Bringing your girlfriends to this bright resort wear store will definitely be a highlight of your Galentine’s Day festivities. You all can design a custom shift dress by picking from a great selection of prints or solid colors while enjoying a mimosa or drink from their juice bar, making homage to the brand’s history.

Celebrating with little ones at these family-friendly events that bring everyone together!

The trendiest and coolest store in Palm Beach is Coniglio. The moment you step in, you will fall in love with the fun island chic decor and apparel, as well as the upscale styles that this unique store provides. A fun place to shop with your girlies for Galentine’s Day.
