Rain-proofing your Girlfriends’ Getaway

Never let a little rain get in the way of your good time!

You’ve been planning this vacation for months. It’s going to be perfect, just your besties, the sunshine, and the golden sands of The Palm Beaches. The plan is to live in your bikinis, walk the beach in the morning, soak up the sun poolside in the afternoon, and spend nights enjoying the local nightlife. Life is a dream. But into every tropical vacation a little rain may fall. Fear not, because rain never lasts very long in South Florida, and there’s a lot to do while you and your friends are dodging raindrops. Here are a few suggestions:

An afternoon at a spa like this one at Eau Palm Beach is a treat

Visit a spa and rejuvenate
The resort spas in The Palm Beaches rank among the best in the world. Relax in a mineral bath, get that perfect pedicure, or experience an energizing facial with all-natural ingredients. Enjoy a blend of tropical juices over ice and nourish your body and soul. By the time your treatment and time enjoying the spa amenities have ended, the rain likely will have, too. There are spa options for every taste and budget, and if you’re here in October, be sure to take advantage of special offers that are part of Spa and Wellness Month.

Walk down memory lane at West Palm Beach Antique Row
There’s a one-mile stretch of a world-renowned street for fashionistas and interior design fiends called South Dixie Highway, where you will find the ultimate collection of exciting antiques and consignment. The West Palm Beach Antique Row Art and Design District has over 40 shops lining either side of the street, filled with furnishings and clothing that will make any home or closet a showcase to be envied. In every store, you’ll find various styles and textures that will fire your imagination.

Enjoy some world-class shopping at the mall
Some of the most affluent addresses in the world can be found in The Palm Beaches. It’s not surprising that the area has some exclusive and exciting places to shop. There are several beautiful malls and store outlets in the area, with The Gardens Mall and Town Center at Boca Raton catering to luxury-minded clientele. The list of stores in either location is in the hundreds, so you and your girlfriends will love a few hours of browsing and buying the finest fashions and accessories.
