WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Oct. 16, 2024 – Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB), the tourism marketing organization for The Palm Beaches in Southeast Florida, announced major hotel updates for the meetings, incentives, conventions, and events (MICE) sector. The developments emphasize why the destination is a premier choice for business and leisure events, as it offers nearly 20,000 hotel rooms.
The Palm Beaches encompass 39 cities and towns (including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Jupiter), and the fresh updates further strengthen its position as Florida’s finest travel experience. The region has seen significant growth in the MICE sector, with recent investments including new hotels with meeting spaces, upgrades to existing spaces, and a recent bid won for a second headquarter hotel to be located at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
“Nearly $1 billion in area investments have increased the appeal of our welcoming and accessible destination,” said Milton Segarra, president and CEO of DTPB. “Recent upgrades in state-of-the-art meeting spaces and the upcoming additional headquarter hotel in the Convention Center District enhance the region as a competitive hub for conferences and events.”
To spotlight the area’s MICE enhancements and showcase how the destination can custom-fit to event needs, DTPB is launching a niche business-themed campaign as part of its broader marketing strategy, called “The Palm Beaches Collection: Picture-Perfect Between-The-Sessions Experiences.” The campaign emphasizes what sets The Palm Beaches apart, with a focus on pillars such as the Convention Center District, multi-cultural and accessibility offerings, outdoors, wellness, sustainability, agribusiness, incentives, arts and culture, sports, and more.
“Our high level of customization and engagement of the local community allow us to elevate ‘Between-The-Sessions’ experiences that you can only achieve here,” said Kelly Cavers, chief sales officer of DTPB. “We also continue to showcase our sustainability and innovation, which make our destination an attractive choice for business events strategists.”
DTPB invites groups to explore these new developments and experience firsthand the vibrant and welcoming environment that makes the destination so enticing for meetings and events.
