Savor Local Restaurants With Newly Expanded Season of Culinary Savings

WEST PALM BEACH. Fla (August 16, 2021) – Discover The Palm Beaches, the tourism marketing organization for Palm Beach County, today announced the official start of this year’s inaugural The Palm Beaches Restaurant Week. During an official kick-off event, held at Pistache French Bistro in downtown West Palm Beach, Discover The Palm Beaches’ President and CEO, Jorge Pesquera, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Regional Director for Palm Beach County, Jodi Cross, and two participating area chefs broke bread and wished diners ‘bon appetite’ to signify the start of the dining deals. Showcasing the rich diversity of the county’s culinary scene, the organization will ramp up summer visitation to many local restaurants and eateries by enticing residents and visitors to explore the destination’s unique mix of culinary offerings – for less, during the new savings promotion August 16-31, 2021. The event, in collaboration with the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) West Palm Beach Chapter promises 16 days of savings at over 100 restaurants and eateries, from long-standing destination favorites and new additions, all listed on palmbeachesdining.com.

Reflective of the community, the participating restaurants represent a growing mix of diverse dining options from Jupiter to Boca Raton, ranging from waterside seafood, fine dining steakhouses to cultural cuisines and sweet-focused shops. Something for every palate, interest, and price point. Participating restaurants will showcase multi-course, prix-fixe menus with prices starting at $25 for brunch and lunch, and $45 and/or $55 for dinner, while eateries and dining-related businesses offer additional dining deals.

“We’re honored to partner with our good friends at FRLA and give our locals and visitors something additional to look forward to this summer. Seeing the tremendous support for this inaugural event is a beautiful thing,” commented President & CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches, Jorge Pesquera. “It’s really brought the culinary community together and enhanced our summer season with additional savings. Not only will it give restaurants a boost in visitation, but it will also help our locals, our greatest ambassadors, and visitors discover both new and classic culinary treasures.”

With the support of various marketing and advertising channels, the event will be promoted both throughout the county and in regional drive markets such as Miami and Fort Lauderdale enticing visitation. To further build awareness of the inaugural event, DTPB has teamed up with local artists, Ken Mullen and Hector Diaz, for a series of food-focused 3-D art activations throughout the county. The interactive sidewalk art, which allows visitors and locals to become part of the image, is stationed at three county locations: The Heart of Jupiter on Love Street, Centennial Square in downtown West Palm Beach and Old School Square in Downtown Delray Beach.  All artworks will be available for viewing and photos are encouraged throughout Restaurant Week, tagging #palmbeachesdining.

In efforts to further aid county restaurants and hospitality businesses this summer, DTPB will be hosting an employment event with FRLA on Aug. 26. Hospitality and tourism-related business representatives are encouraged to attend. The roundtable-style event will bring together diverse organizations and employment resources to offer guidance and pointers for employers seeking to fill positions. It will offer attendees the opportunity to connect with local nonprofit organizations, local schools and county resources as well as Veterans and work programs. The event will be held at the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and interested attendees can RSVP by clicking here.
