That cultural story continues to evolve through MOSAIC (Month of Shows, Art, Ideas & Culture), an annual celebration of the arts across The Palm Beaches. Each year, the event is brought to life through a commissioned work by a local artist, such as 2026’s featured artist, George Bayer, offering a creative interpretation of the destination through its people, places, and cultural experiences.
George Bayer is an award-winning American artist, music producer, television director, and Cultural Council Artist Innovation Fellow whose work spans visual art and international cultural production. His multidisciplinary background, shaped by decades in Japan, Taiwan, Europe and the U.S., inspired his signature series, Le Chat—further explored in this poem written by Bayer. Using silkscreen effects, watercolor, ink and acetate overlays, his work explores humor, memory and illusion while inviting viewers to question what is real and imagined.
