Busch Wildlife Sanctuary 

View furry, feathered and scaly creatures at this family favorite natural attraction in Jupiter. Since 1983, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary has been dedicated to the protection and conservation of Florida’s wildlife and natural resources. On your visit, you might spot Florida panthers, bobcats, black bears and other native wildlife. You can also see native Florida flora, walking through habitats such as pine flatwoods, oak hammocks and cypress wetlands. The sanctuary offers a wide variety of educational programming as well.

Delray Beach Market

You’ll find Florida’s largest food hall right in the heart of downtown Delray Beach. The new Delray Beach Market is an instant bucket list item for anyone who likes to try different cuisines. Housing more than 25 individually curated vendors, this spacious foodie destination is home not just to specialty restaurants but bars and boutiques as well. Whether you’re craving an artful cheese and charcuterie board or fast-casual Indian cuisine, you’ll find something delicious at the Delray Beach Market.  

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum 

A historic icon not only of Jupiter, but of Florida as well, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse has been guiding ships since 1860. It’s also one of the most photographed sights in The Palm Beaches, visible from waterfront restaurants lining the Jupiter Inlet. But it’s not enough just to gaze at the towering red structure; you’ve got to climb it too. Enjoy self-guided audio tours from your phone in English, French or Spanish, as you explore the tallest point in Palm Beach County and marvel at the 360-degree views of blue waterways and lush foliage.

Lion Country Safari

Not only is this Loxahatchee family favorite Florida’s largest drive-thru safari park, it’s also one of the oldest drive-thru safaris in the United States. See large herds of animals from six continents as they roam free, while you view them in the comfort of your car. Afterward, add to the fun, outside of your car, at the safari’s on-site Adventure Park, where you can enjoy rides, meet animals, grab a bite to eat or shop for souvenirs.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Located strategically along one of the world’s most densely nested loggerhead sea turtle beaches, this Juno Beach center rehabilitates sea turtles with the intention of releasing them back into the wild. As part of its mission, it also aims to educate the public through engaging exhibits and seasonal programming including sea turtle walks (make sure to register in advance). Explore the outdoor hospital, view current sea turtle patients and learn about conservation initiatives and ocean ecosystems.

Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens

You might be surprised that there’s a century-old connection between Japan and The Palm Beaches dating to 1904 when a small group of farmers built a settlement in what is now northern Boca Raton. They named their colony the Yamato Colony after an ancient name for Japan. Today, the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach honors that history by inviting visitors and locals alike to immerse themselves in Japanese culture. Explore the the six unique gardens designed by Hoichi Kurisu and inspired by famed Japanese gardens. The museum houses more than 7,000 Japanese art objects and artifacts. Monthly tea ceremonies are available October through May, as are traditional Japanese festivals and rotating exhibits. 

The Flagler Museum

One of the most iconic sites in Florida, the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach was once known as Whitehall. It was the grand home of Henry Morrison Flagler, the creator of the Florida East Coast Railway who is sometimes called the Father of Florida tourism. He had the mansion built as a wedding present for his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan Flagler. Still standing in its Gilded Age opulence both inside and out, the historic 75-room mansion invites visitors to explore its engaging exhibits and artifacts and marvel at its opulence.

Tanger Outlets Palm Beach

Enjoy a shopping excursion at the Tanger Outlets Palm Beach, a southeast Florida favorite for fans of fashion, design and great deals.
