Spanning 7,045 yards, this golf course is fraught with danger, from the unpredictable South Florida winds to the deceptive water penalty areas scattered throughout the course, ready to challenge even the most skilled golfers. The Champion is a bucket-list course for any serious golf! For golf classes visit the PGA National Golf Academy.

The Ocean Course at The Breakers, nestled in the heart of a luxury resort, is a historic golf course in Florida. It’s a course that values strategy over strength, featuring meandering fairways that navigate through sandy obstacles and six lakes. The terrain is intricate, pushing golfers to play tactically. The course, adorned with well-kept landscapes and occasional ocean views, underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2018 under the guidance of architect Rees Jones.
The revamped course, which still retains the original layout by Alexander H. Findlay from 1897, incorporates a balance between preserving its legacy and incorporating modern elements. It now boasts a diverse range of forms and depths, along with new salt-resistant grass and distinctive water features, elevating the golfing experience to a thrilling new level. Each hole offers a unique twist and a distinct set of details. For golf lessons, the John Webster Golf Academy at The Breakers is available.

Originally built in 1968, the course underwent significant renovation and reopened in December 2022 under the guidance of golf architect Rees Jones. High Ridge Country Club, located in Lantana, is one of the more secluded clubs. The course also features several ponds, with several holes forming “cape”-like scenarios where players must rely on their driver and long irons to reach the green in two fair shots.
In 2001, the club brought in Kipp Schulties to extend the club’s length and renovate Lee’s original bunkers. Schulties returned to High Ridge in 2010 to carry out a full course redesign.
The club was recently named one of the 10 best private golf courses in Florida by Golfweek USA Today. The golf course features incredible natural beauty and is Florida Audubon Certified.
