Water temperatures also rise throughout the season. Average Atlantic Ocean temperatures near Palm Beach are around the mid-70s in March and climb toward 80°F by May, making swimming and water activities increasingly inviting as spring progresses.

Spring marks the beginning of something special along the coastline: sea turtle nesting season.

From March through October, sea turtles return to the beaches of Palm Beach County to nest. The Palm Beaches is designated the Sea Turtle Capital of Florida™, making this one of the destination’s most distinctive wildlife experiences.

Stop by Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach to learn more about sea turtle conservation, see rehabilitation work and discover ways to help protect nesting turtles.

Visitors can also help by keeping beaches clean, flat and dark during nesting season and always observing wildlife responsibly.

Get Outside and Discover Natural Florida
