Annual Juneteenth Unity x Black Excellence Festival

Date: Saturday, June 17, 2023

Now in its 3rd year, the Annual Juneteenth Unity x Black Excellence Festival offers an unforgettable celebration of unity and Black excellence. Held at the scenic Meyer Amphitheater, this event welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds. From 3 pm to 9 pm, you can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including live music, delicious food, community resources, shopping opportunities supporting local Black-owned businesses, and engaging games and activities for all ages. This festival serves as a significant fundraising effort for Juneteenth of Palm Beach County’s community programs, such as the Culture Clinic, Culture Club, and Mindful Me.

Juneteenth Redteenth Freedom Day Cultural Festival

Date: Monday, June 19, 2023

Location: Town Center Amphitheater, 12100 Forrest Hill Blvd., Wellington, FL 33414

The Juneteenth Redteenth Freedom Day Cultural Festival promises an exciting lineup of entertainment and engaging activities. From 4 pm to 8 pm, immerse yourself in an unforgettable experience filled with live music, food trucks offering diverse culinary delights, a battle of the bands, a fashion show highlighting African American style, and numerous talented performers, including comedian KingChazzy, DJ NaySimone, and poets Georgena, Shariff Butler, Shawn Frazier, Blush the Icon, and Desiree. This family-friendly event is rain or shine. You are encouraged to bring your own chairs and blankets for a comfortable and enjoyable celebration. The festival is organized by the Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County & Treasure Coast, Inc., which supports individuals and families affected by Sickle Cell Disease/Trait in the region.

Juneteenth Community Day at the Norton Museum of Art

At the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, the Juneteenth Community Day offers an intergenerational celebration of freedom and the African American experience. From 12 pm to 5 pm, visitors can explore various activities, including delectable food vendors, an artisan market showcasing the work of talented creators, captivating live musical performances, enlightening dance workshops, engaging gallery talks focusing on art by African American artists, enthralling storytelling sessions, and art-making activities that encourage creativity and self-expression. Admission to this event is free.

Juneteenth Think Tank Delray Beach

The Juneteenth Think Tank Delray Beach is a dynamic event that combines intellectual exploration, cultural celebration, and community engagement. This annual gathering invites participants to join in a series of activities throughout the day. The program includes a Prayer Breakfast to start the day on a reflective and spiritual note, Juneteenth Cultural Education sessions that provide a deeper understanding of the historical significance of the day, a lively Rib Cookoff showcasing culinary talent, a Talent Show highlighting the diverse talents within the community, and much more. This event also offers an opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day and honor the important role of fathers and male figures in the community. By supporting the event through donations, individuals can contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Palm Health Foundation’s “The Healthier Together Fund,” which aims to improve the overall well-being of the community.

Juneteenth Festival in Boynton Beach

A variety of food trucks and vendors will be present, providing an opportunity to savor delicious cuisines. Live music performances by the Valerie Tyson Band and the J-Sharp Band will captivate the audience, filling the air with soulful melodies. Children will have a blast with bounce houses, face painting, and engaging games like Legos and Connect Four. A Tribute To Count Basie at the Spady Museum

Taking place from 6 pm to 8 pm, this benefit concert commemorates Juneteenth and supports the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum’s mission to preserve and celebrate the contributions of African Americans in the community. Heart of The Arts in Lake Worth Beach

Heart of the Arts is a captivating Juneteenth music and arts festival that showcases the power of creative expression and shared heritage. Presented in collaboration with the Synergy Network Conference, Arms of Hope Community, Flamingo Clay Studio, and Rudy’s Pub, this event promises a day filled with soul-stirring performances, interactive art installations, diverse culinary delights, and an overall celebration of unity and culture. The events takes place in Downtown Lake Worth Beach from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Juneteenth Celebration at The Square

The celebration features a range of activities, including a Beats and Sounds of African Music Dance Session by Natural Movers Foundation, Juneteenth Storytime and Activity by Rohi’s Readery, a Spirit Walk Community and Ancestral Connection session with Blanche Williams, a Culture and Cooking Class with Project Flourish, and an enlightening conversation on Black Joy and the history of Juneteenth with Brian Knowles, the Owner of Teach.Heal.Build.
