Spring is heating up! Meet authors, celebrate Palm Beach Pride, and roam around mega yachts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. There’s more than ever to see and do this March in The Palm Beaches.
When: February 25 – March 26. The Palm Beaches are the Spring Training location for the Washington Nationals, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, and Miami Marlins. When: March 1 & 4, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm Join the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum’s Historian for a guided tour aboard a trolley from Molly’s Trolleys! Learn the rich history of the Jupiter area, from the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse’s own history to favorite spots of Burt Reynolds to significant Black and African American historical sites key to our local history. When: from March 1. Sea turtles nesting season starts on March 1! Perhaps the area’s original tourists, Green, Leatherback, and Loggerhead Sea Turtles have been attracted for centuries to the pristine beaches that stretch between Jupiter and Boca Raton to lay their eggs. The Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center are great facilities where you can familiarize with our beloved residents. Before you go, see how you can protect sea turtles this nesting season.

A Unique History of Inclusion tells the story of the origins of Palm Beach County with its historic firsts and challenges faced from the combining of diverse populations—history that reaches back to the start of the Americas. When: March 4. Winding Waters Natural Area is having an exciting, free, outdoor event on March 4. There will be exhibitors, guided hikes, kayak tours, wildlife presentations, a kid’s zone, food trucks and more! Click here to register for the activities. Dates: March 4, 10 am – 3 pm. Florida’s Premier Muscle Car Show will showcase 75 select examples of American Muscle cars, trucks and hot rods of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s displayed, judged and eligible for big prize money. The event is hosted by international TV star Mike Brewer, star of Discovery Channel’s hit show Wheelers Deelers. Fundraiser for Sandoway Discovery Center. When: March 5-11. Lighthouse ArtCenter’s (LAC) 10th Annual Plein Air Festival brings together thirty-five award-winning artists to compete for over $15,000 in cash and prizes through the practice of painting “en plein air” or “in the open air.” The festival includes free events and artist demonstrations, workshops, and plenty of freshly painted artwork. When: March 5, 12, 19. This March, Swank Table will host three al fresco dinners in their own fields of green, with local and nationally known chefs who will create meals right before your eyes. When: March 16, 6:30 pm. The Kravis Center’s 17th Annual African American Film Festival presents an award-winning selection of monthly films and featured panelists. “13th” (2016), the third film of the three award-winning movies, will be presented on March 16 at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Directed by Ava Duvernay, this powerful documentary explores the history of racial inequality in the U.S. and the fact that the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with African Americans. Featuring interviews with activists and politicians including Michelle Alexander, Cory Booker and Dolores Canales, 13TH exposes systematic racial inequality at its core. Dates: March 17-19. The West Boca Family Festival aka BFF is coming this March 17 to the 19 to Boca Raton and will be filled with fun activities for kids, food trucks, live music, entertainment, fitness classes and more! Expected to attract over 6,000 plus families per day, the festival’s purpose is to bring families together for a weekend filled with stimulating activities, workshops, arts & crafts, education, and health.
