Inside Culinary Studio

At Culinary Studio in Lake Park, the best part isn’t just what ends up on your plate, it’s the connections made around it. Part cooking school, part event venue, and part culinary incubator, this unique space brings people together through a shared love of food.

Founded by Amy Angelo, Culinary Studio was created around a simple idea: food has a way of turning strangers into friends. Whether you’re learning how to make fresh pasta, celebrating a milestone with loved ones, or launching a food business, the space was designed to make everyone feel welcome.

More Than a Cooking Class

What makes Culinary Studio especially unique is its dual purpose. While guests come to learn, celebrate, and connect, local culinary entrepreneurs come to grow their businesses.

The facility serves as a licensed commercial kitchen and offers memberships for chefs, caterers, bakers, meal-prep companies, and other food-based businesses. Members gain access to professional equipment, workspace, storage, and a supportive network of fellow culinary professionals.

For many small food businesses, it’s a launching pad, providing the resources needed to test recipes, expand operations, and bring new culinary concepts to life.

Building Community Through Food

At its core, Culinary Studio is about creating opportunities for people to gather. On any given week, the space might host a date-night cooking class, a corporate team-building event, a birthday celebration, a nonprofit fundraiser, or a local chef developing their next menu.

That blend of experiences is exactly what Amy envisioned when she opened the studio: a place where home cooks, curious beginners, seasoned chefs, and entrepreneurs could all feel equally at home.

In a world where so much happens behind screens, Culinary Studio offers something refreshingly simple, people coming together, rolling up their sleeves, sharing a meal, and leaving with new skills, new memories, and often a few new friends.

The goal isn’t just “you learned a recipe.” Amy hopes you walk out feeling connected, to your community, to the food on your table, and even a little more to yourself.

“Lake Park is a hidden gem and our little stretch of 10th Street is the heart of it. Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to meet your neighbors. The best meal you’ll have here is the one you made yourself.”
