Inside Access: The Four Seasons

A stay in sunny southern Florida at the Four Seasons Palm Beach is a luxurious treat for anyone, but especially for those who live in a cold climate. Follow this insider guide to get all the sunshine, rest and pampering you deserve.

I recently took a trip down to Palm Beach from the Northeast and stayed at the Four Seasons Palm Beach – reserve a spot for yourself at this fabulous oceanside resort to enjoy the best of the best.

Getting to the Four Seasons Palm Beach

Getting to Palm Beach from the Northeast is straightforward and easy, with multiple daily direct flights from various northern destinations. I recently traveled from Boston via JetBlue and reached the sunny paradise in three hours. The Four Seasons Palm Beach is located less than 20 minutes from the Palm Beach International Airport, so just shortly after we landed, we were strolling through the beautiful lobby.

The easiest way to get around Palm Beach is ride share. Uber and Lyft are prevalent, and they are able to pick you up curbside outside the arrivals at the airport. And the best part is that once guests reach the Four Seasons Palm Beach, they have access to the house car for trips around the area – so there’s no need for a rental car! I love when this is the case; it makes for a totally stress- free vacation.

Plush Accommodations

The Four Seasons Palm Beach has 207 rooms and suites across its spacious property. Designed by Leo Daly and decorated by Martin Brudnizki and Brian Gluckstein, the hotel is a relaxed and glamorous retreat that echoes the style of the luxurious homes in the area. The color palette focuses on natural tones that broadcast the region’s refreshing, playful spirit, and the light and airy layout immediately immerses guests in oceanfront views, sights, and sounds. As soon as you step onto the property, you’ll breathe a sigh of relief.

Whether you opt for a studio suite or one of the many other room types, all guests are guaranteed to enjoy the Four Seasons’ signature amenities like top notch linens, beds, and toiletries. Each room is also decorated with signature Palm Beach tones of coral, seafoam, blue and white.

We stayed in an ocean view studio suite on the 4th floor, which offers amazing views of the pools and ocean. Waking up to the sound of rolling waves is a treat any time of year, but it’s especially wonderful in winter. Coming back to the ultra-comfortable and luxe Four Seasons signature linens, bed and amenities after a day of exploring, sunbathing and swimming was soothing and restorative – what our vacation dreams are made of.

We enjoyed a sweeping view of the resort as well as an ocean panorama from our room – steeping our eyes in those gorgeous vistas was so awesome. The ability to wake up to a golden sunrise and enjoy an afternoon glass of wine on our private balcony at the Four Seasons are just the sort of luxuries that we, like other luxury travelers, were looking for.

Easygoing Gourmet Dining

While Palm Beach has some amazing local restaurants, you’ll be hard pressed to want to leave the Four Seasons Palm Beach Resort because of the mouthwatering options available on-site.

We launched each day with a gourmet breakfast at the signature restaurant Florie’s, where we chose to dine outside so we could soak up the soothing sunshine and warm our northeastern bones. The warm breeze, gentle rays of light and sound of the waves paired with the refreshing cold pressed juice and delicious eggs and pasties made for a perfect start to our luxurious Palm Beach trip. We prefer a leisurely pace when vacationing, and the team at Florie’s gets it just right – the service was attentive, yet relaxed.

Dine oceanside under a canopy of sea grapes at Seaway restaurant at the Four Seasons Palm Beach

For lunch, guests have several options, and all of them involve great food and drink in an exceptional resort atmosphere: Dine poolside or on the beachfront; eat under a canopy of sea grape trees with an ocean view at Seaway; or have your meal in the privacy of your room. Waterside, enjoy bites like Crispy Calamari and Quinoa And Chickpea Tacos waterside. At Seaway, savor delectable local seafood dishes infused with Latin flair, like the signature dish: Tuna and Salmon Chirashi. In-room, opt for delicious fare like: Palm Beach Guacamole, Artichoke and Gigante Bean Salad, Seared Local Florida Grouper and Key Lime Pie.

For drinks and dinner, head to Florie’s Bar (sip cocktails made with citrus and herbs plucked from the resort’s garden) and then, to Florie’s restaurant again. Here, world-renowned chef Mauro Colagreco has brought to life Mediterranean cuisine with live-fire cooking and Florida-inspired fare. Colagreco says: “Palm Beach is an ideal place for me with all of its similarities to my home in the South of France including the environment, the sun and the sea.” And, no doubt about it – Colagreco and his team have totally succeeded in bringing the magic of the French Riviera to Palm Beach. Be sure to try the Red Snapper Fillet, Heirloom Tomato And Peach Carpaccio and the Local Burrata With Citrus!
