Holiday Family Fun in the Palm Beaches

Who says the holidays can’t be filled with sunshine, flamingos, and palm trees? There are so many fun things to do with the family in The Palm Beaches during the holiday season! I listed a few fun options to get away from the frigid temperatures or even just a staycation to escape the holiday madness!

SandiLand
Head straight to the iconic 35-foot, “Sandi Christmas Tree,” The Palm Beaches are known for. Located in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, Sandi is the only 700 ton sand tree in the entire world standing in all her glory right off Clematis Street, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. There are a few other sand sculptures, mini golf, and tons of places in the area to grab a quick bite while strolling our very own, “Holiday in Paradise.” New to the lineup this year, is a pancake breakfast with Santa & a Ferris wheel you can ride and catch a glimpse of the whole town, thanks to the City of West Palm Beach & Florida Power and Light! The official “Clematis By Night,” tree lighting ceremony is December 1st, 2022.

Kravis Center
Kick off the holiday season with a Broadway rendition of the Nutcracker! Wednesday December 28th to Friday December 30th, you can catch The Miami City Ballet spectacular production, that’s guaranteed fun for all! Nothing screams the holidays like taking in a holiday show!

Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort
Check in to the iconic family friendly resort that’s chock full of fun! Located directly on the beautiful Florida coast, just north of downtown on Singer Island, you can feast your eyes on their life-sized gingerbread house and beautiful Christmas tree, starting November 26th! From the slide at the pool to the kids club and spa, there’s no shortage of relaxation time and family memory making awaiting.

Cox Science Center and Aquarium
Let the laser lights spectacular at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium mesmerize you with their laser lights and bites event! It’s a feast for the senses, on select Fridays November 25th through December 30th. Bring a blanket, enjoy the food trucks, hit up the mini golf course, play with some kinetic snow and dance under the stars to your holiday favorites! 3 and under are free.

The Royal Poinciana Plaza
A visit to Palm Beach isn’t complete without checking out this gem. With several photo activations to snap some holiday family pics and their gigantic surfboard Christmas tree, Royal Poinciana is the place to see and be seen and pick up a few gifts for the ones you love.

The Mall at Wellington Green
If you’re still looking to get some items off of your shopping list, then head over to the Wellington Green Mall. Black Friday is their BFF event complete with free mimosas, chair massages, giveaways, and swag bags for the first 250 in attendance. Plus, Santa will be there in his Ice Palace!

Bike Ride to Worth Avenue
Nothing shouts Palm Beach quite like renting a beach cruiser at The Palm Beach Bicycle Trail Shop and heading south past the Flagler Museum (tours happening December 19th-22nd) and down to Worth Avenue. Each year the shopping Mecca of Palm Beach is transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with a larger than life, 40-foot Christmas tree. Lighting takes place Tuesday, November 29th at 5p.m. On your way back north why not make a stop by The Breakers Palm Beach to catch a glimpse of their iconic Christmas tree and menorah and perhaps grab a little bite at one of their restaurants! My favorite with the littles in tow is the Italian Restaurant, complete with a park and kids club.

The Square
If you’re still dreaming of a white Christmas, then The Square has got you covered. Hop on over the bridge to see the nightly snowfall and light show at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 pm at the wishing tree in the middle of the square in front of Anthropologie, on the weekends beginning November 12th through December 23rd.

The Gardens Mall
This is as close as it gets to catching a glimpse into Santa’s Workshop. The Kid’s Corner located on Nordstrom’s lower level features a store fit for your mini and some of Santa’s helpers to pick out just the perfect gift for everyone on their list. Snap a keepsake Santa photo, do some holiday shopping and enjoy the holiday cheer! Runs November 11th to December 24th!

Palm Beach Zoo
For a truly unique Florida experience, head on over to The Palm Beach Zoo, where a transformed holiday jungle awaits! On select nights from November 18th-January 1st you can peruse the 23-acres of lush luminescence, snap a pic with Santa and boogie under the stars at a DJ dance party. Tickets available online only.

100ft Delray Beach Christmas Tree
Scoot on down to Delray Beach to feast your eyes on their beautiful 100-foot Christmas Tree. The lighting takes place November 29th at 6p, complete with a gingerbread house, ice skating, holiday village, carousel, musical performances, and food. While you’re down there, be sure to check out Delray Beach Market, a community hub offering local and eclectic flavors no matter what you’re in the mood for!

Alternatively, here are a few other spots you can visit in the event those listed above aren’t available to you when you pay a visit to Palm Beach.
