Many luminaries from the classical arts have been featured at the Festival of the Arts BOCA, including Itzhak Perlman, Renee Fleming, Joshua Bell, and Pat Metheny. Award-winning authors such as Doris Kearns Goodwin, and Thomas Friedman have dropped in as well. Every year brings a lineup full of surprises, and it’s always entertaining.

Fantasia Live with Orchestra

What better way to open the Festival than with the animated classic that broke the mold, combining beautiful art with some of the greatest works in the classical repertoire? Remastered and projected on a giant screen, the film’s soundtrack will be performed live by Festival Orchestra Boca, conducted by Festival Music Director Constantine Kitsopoulos.

Other highlights include the Young People's Chorus of New York City; dance icons Melanie Hamrick, Joanna DeFelice, and Christine Shevchenko; some of South Florida’s top young vocalists and dancers; author and social commentator Fran Lebowitz; acclaimed author and three-time winner of the Gerald Loeb Award Charles Fishman; jazz performer Nicole Henry; and Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes.
