Mindful Moments at The Norton, West Palm Beach

Pride On The Block, West Palm Beach

When: June 2-3.
Join Pride on The Block on June 2nd and 3rd and enjoy live music, dance and theatrical performances, amazing food, youth activities, and more! This year’s event will be bigger and better by expanding to TWO locations on the 500 Block of Clematis Street and The Square!

OUTSTAGED@PBD, West Palm Beach

When: June 2, 7 pm.
Out Stage @PBD features special evenings of each mainstage production for the LGBTQ community that include a pre-show reception, the production, and a post-show reception. This June, the program takes place on Friday, June 2 at 7 pm.

Summer in the City – Boca Raton

When: June 2, 16, 30, 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
The Summer in the City series promises a line-up of free concerts on most Fridays throughout the summer. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, and use free parking at the City Hall and the Boca Raton Library. Food and beverages will be available to purchase inside the venue. All shows are rain or shine.

Lighthouse ArtCenter Summer Kick-off Event, Tequesta

When: June 2, 1-3 pm.

Lighthouse ArtCenter celebrates the start of summer with a free community event on Friday, June 2, from 1-3 pm. The event includes admission to the gallery to meet Lilly Pulitzer’s granddaughter Lilly Leas Ferreira as she presents her recently published children’s book “Life and Lilly.”

Original illustrations from the book will be on display. Kids can enjoy storytimes (1:30 pm and 2:30 pm), book signings, a craft station, a MakerSpace with animation software and 3D printers, and an orange juice stand. For more information, visit lighthousearts.org.

“Life and Lilly” tells the story from a child’s perspective of growing up in the vibrant town of Palm Beach. Readers are taken on an adventure following little Lilly as she navigates her hometown’s beaches, bike paths, and landmarks. Ten original illustrations in ink and colorful watercolors from the Lilly Pulitzer Print Studio will be on display through August 5 as part of the ArtCenter’s exhibition Locals Only: A Florida State of Mind.

First Friday Artwalk, Delray Beach

When: June 2, 6 pm – 9 pm.

First Friday Art Walk is a night for strolling and discovering the vibrant art scene and live music in Downtown Delray Beach through a self-guided tour of art galleries, studios, and the Cornell Art Museum at Old School Square on the first Friday of the month with pop-up live music throughout downtown.

Summer Pool Party at Hilton Palm Beach Airport, West Palm Beach

When: June 3, 12 pm – 5 pm.

Run Club With Alex Celis, West Palm Beach

When: June 3, Warm-up at 8:45 am; run begins at 9 am.

Break a sweat with fellow runners in the community during this run club led by Lululemon ambassador Alex Celis. Meet in front of lululemon to mingle, stretch and warm up before setting off on a 2-mile loop around Downtown West Palm Beach, ending back at The Salty for a cool down and sweet treat. Full Moon Yoga, West Palm Beach

When: June 4, 8 pm.

The new moon represents new beginnings; join us on June 4, 2023 from 8-9 pm for Full Moon Yoga led by Shelly Saunier. This yin yoga practice is open to all levels. Reserve a spot in advance as space is limited. Donations to the instructor will be accepted. Bring a Yoga mat and water.

Full Moon Silent Disco & Cacao Ceremony, Singer Island

When: June 4, 6.30 pm – 9 pm.

Flow freely on the beach dance floor under the light of the full moon. Listen to your body, explore moving in new ways, and experience the incredible benefits that this embodiment practice can bring.

The Full Moon Disco will start with a Cacao Ceremony and meditation where you’ll set your intentions for the dance. Then, you’ll transition into your guided ecstatic dance. After the dance portion, musician Kev Ohm will embrace you with some live music and a vocal sound bath.

Flagler Museum Free Admission on Founder’s Day, Palm Beach

When: June 5. 

The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum celebrates its anniversary each year on June 5 by opening to the public free of charge in honor of the Museum’s founder, Jean Flagler Matthews, who was Flagler’s granddaughter. Self-guide tour brochures will be available for visitors to guide themselves through Whitehall’s first and second floors as well as Railcar No. 91 in the Flagler-Kenan Pavilion.

The Pink Retreat, The Palm Beaches

When: June 8-11

Lilly Pulitzer aficionadas–this event is for you! Founded in 2017 by Tosha Williams, The Pink Retreat is the most colorful girls’ weekend getaway in Palm Beach for women of all ages who love the colorful and floral patterns of Lilly Pulitzer. 2023 favorite activities include shopping, paint & sip events, a tour of Worth Avenue with Rick Rose, sunrise yoga, a fabric portrait art class, catamaran adventures, afternoon tea, and much more!

Beerfest “Under the Stars” Summer Concert Series, Lake Worth Beach

When: June 17, 5 pm – 10 pm (kitchen hours 5 pm – 8 pm).

Join the American German Club of The Palm Beaches for a special German fest under the Stars with a summer concert, beer, and brats! Admission ($40) includes all you can drink German beer, domestic wine, soda, plus a heaping plate of German and American fare.

3rd Annual Juneteenth Unity x Black Excellence Festival, West Palm Beach 

When: June 17, 3 pm – 9 pm

The 3rd Annual Juneteenth Unity x Black Excellence Festival will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach from 3 pm to 9 pm. The festival celebrates Unity and Black Excellence with a day filled with fun, food, music, community resources, shopping black, and games and activities for all ages. It is free and open to the public. Juneteenth Unity x Black Excellence Festival will not only be a vibe the whole family can enjoy, but it will also be Juneteenth of Palm Beach County’s biggest fundraising effort for their community programs: Culture Clinic, Culture Club, and Mindful me.

Each Friday night from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach organizes Art After Dark—a fun mix of art and entertainment featuring a docent-led tour, an open studio, live music, and more! Join the Norton’s docents as they discuss artworks in the Norton’s collection. Then, create your own masterpiece with a teaching artist in a drop-in style art-making workshop, inspired by the Norton’s collection or special exhibitions.

West Palm Beach GreenMarket – Pop-Up Mini-Markets at Clematis by Night

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket has again been nominated as a USA TODAY 10Best “Best Farmers Market”. The publication’s Readers’ Choice poll is a nationwide contest to determine the 10 best markets in the country.

In celebration of the recognition, the City will host three pop-up mini-markets at Clematis by Night in June:

The markets will run from 6 pm to 9 pm and include a variety of favorites and new vendors.

New Wave Artist-In-Residence Program With Jia Sung, West Palm Beach

When: June 2023 – July 2023

Jia Sung will be the New Wave Artist-in-Residence at The Square in downtown West Palm Beach. Jia Sung is a Singaporean Chinese artist, currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Her multidisciplinary practice includes paintings, drawings, tapestries, and literature, addressing contemporary queer feminist identity in the context of Chinese mythology, Buddhist iconography, and folklore.

Her work is already in the permanent collections of SF MoMA, The Yale University Collection, and the University of Pennsylvania Collection, among others.
