Have a World Series-worthy Experience in The Palm Beaches

Maybe it’s something in the water. After all, there’s a lot of it. But whatever it is, The Palm Beaches are the Spring Training home of not one but both 2019 World Series teams, the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals.

No matter which team you root for, you can watch these two championship title contenders swinging at it again during the 2020 Florida Grapefruit League season, because both teams practice at the same facility: Ballpark of The Palm Beaches. The season starts with the two teams facing off on Saturday, February 22, 2020, and runs through March 22, 2020.

All the MLB action happens in this fan-friendly 7,700-capacity stadium, with its Banana Boat Lawn, suites and party decks. Morning workouts are open to the public, and you can say hi to players or even grab an autograph as they prep for the day’s game.

Enjoy big-league amenities such as the Craft Corner, with 32 craft beers on tap, and Left Field Bar with its ice-cold beers, frozen drinks, cocktails and wine. Get close enough to hear the crack of the bat from any point along the fantastic wraparound concourse. And if you want a sweet treat after downing your traditional dogs and brews, try the strawberry blonde ice cream at the little stand behind home plate.

Round out your Spring Training experience by catching the action of the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in nearby Jupiter.

Make the Most of Your Time Before, Between and After Games

The Palm Beaches are the perfect place to come see your favorite teams play. Because in addition to the endless sunshine and gorgeous 70-degree weather, the area is packed with fun things to do before, between and after games.

Fun in the Sun

Warm, translucent waves lap along 47 miles of golden sandy beach, offering quiet spots to lounge beneath swaying palms or opportunities to skim the waves in rented jet skis. Canoe or kayak at nearby John D. MacArthur Beach State Park or Riverbend Park, paddling through winding waterways to see abundant wildlife. Take an airboat ride through the Florida Everglades, or visit Manatee Lagoon to witness sea cows warming themselves in the waters just offshore.

Sunrise on the Beach

Golfers can take a swing at any of more than 160 sun-soaked golf courses here in Florida’s Golf Capital®. Anglers will love the opportunity to catch big-mouth bass in Lake Okeechobee; you can also book a deep-sea fishing excursion to take on the challenge of those big game fish swimming in the fast-moving current of the Gulf Stream. And while you’re here, check out another sports season underway nearby: Palm Beach International Polo Season.

Dining & Drinks on Deck

Discover flavor-packed dining options throughout the area, including fresh seafood, farm-to-table fare and international cuisine. Upgrade from ballpark hot dogs at Pistache French Bistro and other eateries along Clematis Street Entertainment District, or sample the innovative cuisine of “Top Chef” alum Lindsay Autry at The Regional Kitchen & Public House. Choose from a variety of mouthwatering restaurants while savoring views of Jupiter’s Intracoastal Waterway when you dine at Harbourside Place.

From saisons to sours to refreshing lagers, blow the froth off a few at any of 20 craft breweries along the Ale Trail of The Palm Beaches. And close to the ballpark, Duffy’s Sports Grill offers handcrafted cocktails and microbrews along with their famous boneless wings.
