Palm Beach International Polo Season

International Polo Club Palm Beach, 3667 120th Avenue South, Wellington, FL 33414

Palm Beach Polo Season

Each January through April, the world’s premier polo players and polo enthusiasts head to The Palm Beaches for top-level competition during Palm Beach International Polo Season. Located in Wellington, the International Polo Club presents weekly and often daily events.  This season is a little different. No public spectators may attend matches, except during the ticketed Sunday brunch.

The Famous Sunday Brunch

Watching thrilling polo, having fabulous cuisine, everyone making a fashion statement, and veranda seating in one of the fines venues in the Florida – this experience is a must-do. The International Polo Club Palm Beach is the ultimate polo social scene. Just remember facial coverings must be worn by all persons when entering, exiting, and moving throughout indoor and public common areas. Masks are only to be removed when seated at your designated seat/table while eating and drinking. Purchase brunch tickets here.

From Beginners to Gladiators

Getting into polo doesn’t mean even having to jump on an actual horse. The International Polo Club Palm Beach has two riding simulators for those seeking the polo thrill without the skill: the Stick and Ball Trainer or the Cross Trainer for general riding, polo, cross-country jumping or dressage simulations. Introductory lessons start at $100 per hour for a fun, easy way to get a taste of the sport. Seasoned polo fans should check out the new and very popular high-speed version of polo that pits two teams of three “gladiators” against each other in a smaller arena during the fall season.

More Fun Things to Do in Wellington
Wellington is equestrian central. The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center hosts the Winter Equestrian Festival where, each January to April, riders from 2 to 70 years old and from Olympians to amateurs compete for millions in prizes atop more than 6,000 highly trained horses. The center is a sight to behold with more than 18 competition arenas on 500 acres of purely equestrian-focused grounds. The festival draws riders from every state and 52 countries as well as 250,000 spectators over the 12-week event. Each Saturday night, 10,000 fans fill the stands to enjoy the main event: the Saturday Night Lights Grand Prix, with the most celebrated jumping show of the week, entertainment and 100-plus food and shopping vendors.

Beyond the playing field, there’s excitement to be had at Lion Country Safari just northwest of the International Polo Club Palm Beach. Feel like you’re on an African safari as you drive right past lions, rhinos and gazelles at Florida’s only drive-through safari adventure. Get out of the car for a brief hike to experience Florida’s native species in their native habitat at the 30-acre Peaceful Waters Sanctuary
