The vibrant downtown area (Lucerne Ave and Lake Ave), described as colorful, artistic, and bohemian, is a must-visit. Along its two main streets, Lake Avenue and Lucerne Avenue, visitors can explore an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants.

At 713 Lake Ave, the Lake Worth Playhouse, housed in the historic Oakley Theatre, offers a variety of programming including dramas, comedies, musicals, Broadway favorites, children’s shows, and international ballets and operas in cinema.
Nature lovers can’t miss Snook Islands Natural Area. This 100-acre wetland habitat in the Lake Worth Lagoon is home to tropical birds, dolphins, and manatees. It offers a boardwalk, fishing pier, kayak/canoe launch, and educational kiosks.

There are two main public transportation options that wind through Lake Worth Beach, Florida: Palm Tran and Tri-Rail. Palm Tran is a bus system that runs through all of Palm Beach County (and a little bit beyond), including Lake Worth Beach. Tri-Rail is a commuter rail line that runs all the way from Miami, through Lake Worth Station, and up to Riviera Beach.

As with many Floridian towns, Native American tribes settled in Lake Worth Beach long before anyone else.
